The food is good and the staff are very friendly. The headboard of the bed was falling apart. The en-suite is rather pokey. But I will stay again!

The hotel staff were excellent from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The hotel is literally on the beach, which makes it a great location. Although the room was clean I think we may have drawn the short straw as our room (207) was pretty small for 2 people.

I stayed for holidays in Gorleston at St. Edmunds Hotel in the 1950'S. It was good to see the Pier Hotel was so well used in this economic climate on Sat. Night and that it had changed to suit the younger generation. For older people you need a lift. The stairs were a bit too much. I would not have booked if I had known you had no lift.

We enjoyed our stay very much the location right next to the beach was lovely and would not hesitate on recommending this hotel and we will certainly return when we are next in that area. We liked the location which gave us a beautiful view of the water this was especially lovely at night when the lights reflected. The parking was a bonus. The room was very comfortable and clean and the staff very friendly and helpfull. Downside was being up two flights of stairs and the fact that on arrival we were booked in for only one night instead of three. This meant that we couldn't get in our room and my husband had to go down and back up the stairs again. The only other thing I didn't like were the very hard boiled eggs which made a nonsense of the toasted 'soilders'.

a lot of time and effort has clearly been spent to upgrade and renovate the common areas, the bar and restaurant were both good and staff very welcoming. the room itself, although clean and tidy was in need of updating to bring it up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel, also the window would not close.

The proximity to the beach, the service in the dining room and the helpfulness of the staff in general. The room left a lot to be desired and the shower was something that was beyond description. If you are going to put a shower over a bath please have one that you can stand under and doesn't keep falling off the wall. Better still have a proper walk in shower, I'm sure that is what most people want these days.

The Pier Hotel is well located on the sea front with views over the beach. The food offering was very good from breakfast through to dinner. Ideal Hotel if you are looking for a quiet weekend away and likewise a beach holiday with a small family Hotel parking could be an issue at high season

The only thing we liked about the Pier Hotel is the location, the room was dark, our window looked out over a fire escape staircase, the windows were really dirty burn marks in the carpet, the room was so small and dark,we would never go back there again, I had a meal from the bar and took it to our room, it was supposed to be a ploughmans lunch it was more like a cheese salad, I did leave my comments on leaving the hotel.
