We loved the location and the unusual style of the apartment, the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious.

There was only 1 toilet and shower between 20 girls and the bells from the cathedral did wake us up early.

This is a stunning location, right next to the castle and in the heart of Lincoln. Was lovely to hear buskers and church bells in the evening. Gorgeous room with original beams and windows. Don't miss out on the experience!

Only one toilet for all the rooms

Very comfortable room, in a very interesting medieval building - nicely converted. In an excellent positon near the cathedral and castle. I liked the fact it was self catering, and this aspect was well provided for.

Shared facilites which were fine, but were upstairs from my room, which meant navigating the stairs in the night to get to the loo! The excellent position above the square also meant it was rather noisy late at night, from the people in the square.

Service was very friendly indeed from up the street. The look of the place and its location is a delight. Pleased to find I could get breakfast after all up at Bailhouse Hotel (or rather in the adjoining back garden of Tapas Bar)

very noisy ceiling from any footsteps upstairs through ignoring 1545 building regulations.

Everything was just perfect. The hostess helped me very much when I was about to be late for a bus. I apreciated it very much.

Charming old house, from 1500- right beside the cathedral.

No sign at the door- I arrived late and the door was closed. After a while another guest came out and told me where the reseption was... Took me almost 1 1/2 before I had my room. Not good after a long day of traveling. Even this is a Charming place- lots of noise! Cathedral played for long sequenses and the pub right outside...

Easy walking distance to town. Lovely kitchen and bathroom. Large comfortable room. Friendly staff. Easy parking if you time it right.

Much too noisy outside late at night. Fine if you're a deep sleeper. Prefer bathroom to be on same floor as bedroom or en-suite.

we booked to stay here , but ended up staying at the bail house hotel, were we had to go and check in at anyway and get the keys etc. mr david baldock who was on reception was really great with us told us there was a room with a four poster bed going ensuite, we viewed it and couldn't turn it down , was absolutely wonderful. the hotel you couldn't fault in any way or the hospitality of mr baldock. would recommend anyone to stay here, added bonus of private secure parking for a small fee, and the honesty bar which where you helped yourself and just filled a receipt in and put in a tin , I thought that was unusual but a really nice touch. you squared up when you paid, big thumbs up to bail house will be returning again :)

    was faultless.

The location is great, the car parking good too. I liked the feel of the place got lots of history with it. Very clean and comfy beds, liked the kitchen and the fact you can make food if you like

Shared bathroom, shared amongst too many rooms and the toilet being right at the side of the kitchen

We were up-graded to a room in the Bail House. We liked the lounge and tea/coffee facilities and bar arrangement.

No tissues in either the room or the ladies room downstairs. Also no hair dryer.

We stayed at the beautiful Pemberton House, which is the Tudor house at Castle Square. The reception is however at another place, quite a bit further down the road. Room was beautiful and the staff very friendly. You can't have a better situated place to stay in Lincoln really. Really good breakfast at a restaurant nearby the reception.

It was not quite clear that the reception was that far away.

I was offered a transfer/upgrade to Bail House around the corner, but location outstanding for both opposite the cathedral. (In Bail House: lounge, TV, coffee, honesty bar - all excellent)

In Bail House: small niggle - not enough lighting for reading in bed and light only on one side of the bed.

It was right in the centre of Lincoln.

We stayed on a Saturday night and the pub opposite was very noisy.
