The environment is excellent, front yard is a mini parking spot in which could park 4 cars, back yard is very beautiful. All facilities are very clean. Breakfast is very good as well.

Sound insulation is not very good. We can clearly hear of the sound of water rushed from the tap next room.

We were very happy with our stay at The Pembroke. The staff were both friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and the en suite was modern with a good sized shower cubicle. The Pembroke is ideally situated for a short bus trip into the heart of Oxford.

Excellent helpful owner, lovely walk into Oxford along the river, very clean and nice bathroom. We were out late at a ball so couldn't make it up for breakfast but Claire ensured there was food waiting for us as soon as we woke up. Everything was very relaxed and no fuss making for a very easy, chilled weekend.

We particularly liked the comfortable bed and the expansive continental breakfast with the added extra of delicious slices of egg-fried brioche with fresh summer fruits. We also liked the very friendly host, Clare, and the convenience of the bus outside the Guesthouse which took us straight into Oxford city centre.

We didn't like not having access to a kettle, tea and coffee in our room, although facilities for all these were provided for our use in the kitchen downstairs. However, having mentioned this to our host, we were told we could well have access to a tea-tray and kettle next time we visited, which was an excellent response to customer feedback!

A little bit of a trip to centre of oxford but the bus was outside the door and very quick and easy. The breakfast was very good.

I would ask for an upper floor room if I stayed again as having the window open overnight on ground floor probably isn't a good idea as far as security goes. The weather was beautiful and some fresh air would have been good.

Very comfortable and well equipped. Welcoming, friendly couple running the guest house. Delicious breakfast. Offstreet parking. A short 10 min drive into town (as we had luggage to take) but would have been a nice walk too.

Bathroom was outside the room (although for our exclusive use). Had to take shoes off in the house - this is a pain when you are going in and out.

Hospitality is A+. The guest house is very clean and the facilities excellent. It's a few miles from the Oxford City Center but the bus stop is right in front of the property.

Clare was very welcoming. We were given a map and ideas of places to see and go in Oxford. All of which were perfect for us. The accommodation was excellent throughout. All the facilities one needs was there for your stay. The room we stayed in was very comfortable with an en-suite. A modern clean style and a perfect size. In the morning Clare had prepared a wholesome breakfast, wonderfully presented. This we enjoyed with a relaxed atmosphere overlooking the beautiful garden. I would definitely recommend this guest house to anyone, for the location, facilities, but mainly for the terrific welcome that we were given. Nothing was a problem and Clare was determined to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

    That we couldn't stay longer!!!

It was outside Oxford, but the bus stop was right in front so very convenient. Host offered restaurant ideas. The breakfasts were delicious and different every day. Not the usual "full breakfast" My room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

Host was lovely and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, a bit more interesting than your eggs and bacon, and hosts asked if there was anything we wanted the night before. Location is good, out of town centre but a lovely walk into town and a good pub and shop nearby. Room was really nice and very comfortable bed.

    Nothing really!
