Almost everything else! very small room - I was able o touch both walls with outstretched arms. First there was no hot water, then there was no water at all for the shower or to shave. On departure demanded to speak with 'Peter' the manager - not there! Tried to call later couldn't get connected. I should have received at least a partial refund, but never could make the complaint. Won't stay there again!
clean and modern. large bathroom. heated towel rail. plenty of hot water. comfy bed. heating easily adjustable and windows opened
wooden floors throughout and no sound insulation. could hear everyone on floor moving around. doors crashed loudly. could hear neighbours talking and was woken several times during the night by them turning over and crashing into the wall between us. no plug sockets near bed to charge phone. no bedside table or lamp (large bright central light only which had to be turned off at the door). no hairdryer.
No wi fi in the rooms, only in the lobby but way too slow. Some of the staff got real issues.
5 min walk from tube station.
No wifi in bedroom. Not a wide range of breakfast, only ham, cheese, bread, tea/coffee/orange juice.
The hotel was in an excellent location for the party we where attending, The bed was clean and comfortable with a big bathroom. For one night close to where I needed to be, it was very good value for money.
There was an awful smell in the bathroom and the toilet did not flush very well. Breakfast was poor
For London standards, I cannot say that it is an expensive place. In Zone 2, you are less than 5 minutes away from the tube (Finsbury Park - victoria / picadilly), train station and bus stops (including Night Bus). Nice continental breakfast. Clean room and toilets.
The single room is incredibly small. The bed is not comfortable. Room walls are thin and you can listen to some noise during the night, i.e. doors shutting. In order to avoid that, half of the fire doors would stay completely open during the night, which does not seem a safe option.
the italian guy at the reception was kind and helped me with the room.
Rude staff and poor kindness except the italian guy at the reception, the greek sir at the reception became angry and started to swear when he found out that i was able to change my room due to problems with the room that was gave to me the previous night. I booked a matrimonial room that in the picture showed a big window and a regular size bathroom the room that was gave to me had nothing about the picture. The bathroom was ridicolous, the sins was as bigger as my head and i can't even bend that i wasn't able to fit in the bathroom. I think they really need to make a division between budget and confort matrimonial room , i wouldn't booked that room at all. The towels had a really strange smell. The brekfast wasn't a brekfast at all just very cheap coffe and teas and two piece of bread , i have bought croissants from the shop costa.
- own bathroom - well-working heating - consideration our request to get a room at the backside of the hotel (mentioned on booking) - wireless network (but only at reception area) - very good tube connection (2 tube line nearby, 3 minutes walking distance)
- poorly neighbourhood - very loud at the frontside of the hotel (main road infront of the hotel) - very small bathroom (even for me, height: 1,55m)
Convenient, clean, warm, comfortable.
Single room was very compact although OK for my needs.
Early Dec.,checked in - bedroom windows wide open, heating on minimum, all 3 fire doors wide open-absolutely freezing.Had to dismantle radiator cover to turn heating up. I never knew they made washbasins so small, nor knew it was possible to get a w.c.,basin and shower in such a tiny space - half the size of the shower room in my caravan. Not even a bedside lamp in the room nor bedside light switch. AVOID AT COSTS
was very very clean, staff was very friendly but made me feel very eased and welcome, perfect hotel and stay
Room was really small for me and my boyfriend, was a single room with a double bed
The man in reception was unbelievably rude to his guests; felt like I was at school! The breakfast was extremely basic and no saucers with the cups. The room needed decorating, and was too hot and noisy. Difficult to get any sleep and the lumpy pillows didn't help. The YHA provides better accommodation at a fraction of the price.
Friendly staff, able to purchase nice cooked breakfast, nice food for sale, drinks inexpensive, good parking facilities (and they let me stay until late afternoon of my day of departure). Decent area opposite Finsbury Park, overall quite a nice little place to stay.
Although the room was basic but clean and tidy, I liked the laminate flooring.....unfortunately this meant people above me who were up and about at 6am, clearly leaving to travel, but wore SHOES, so it sounded like a herd of elephants above me for nearly an hour. When it went quiet when they left I was able to nod off for a couple more hours.
Price Look of Rooms Cleanliness Security Well kept bathroom and
Some staff etiquette to other customers Cleanliness of the downstairs shared toilet area Lift not big enough No additional help to carry bags
it s new..close to the subway...the staff was perfect...
breakfast was poor
The hotel was quite essential, clean and straightforward. No carpets :) and the reception solved a problem with the light in our room quickly.
The breakfast was quite basic - no hot food.
Location was superb. 5 minute walk to the underground. Excellent for The Emirates. Nice, comfy bed. Room was small, but entirley adequate.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing, but a minor quibble.
I would stay at this hotel again because of the access to the City due to the proximity of the tube station. Breakfast was also a bonus!
Being on the ground floor it was very noisy due to all rooms having wood flooring. Outside smoking area was next to our room and staff would wedge doors open at each end of corridor making our room very cold.
Good location, staff was polite and the price was fair.
I found a few ants in my room. The room was very small. I was happy with the rest.
Room was clean and bed comfortable. Staff did their best to address problem with TV and were pleasant.
The TV didn't work at all which was a real pain. Tried to watch on laptop using their wifi but connection kept getting lost so gave up! No bed side light. Loo and shower room tiny.
BAD QUALITY PRICE NO INTERNET WIFI IN THE ROOM AND THE HOME WORK TOO BAD BREAKFAST SAME LEVEL OR WORSE THAN A HOSTEL ELECTRONIC SYSTEM KEYS VERY BAD,NEED CHANGE 2 TIMES PER DAY.
A well modernised hotel - very clean and comfortable with excellent double glazing - so little street noise. The small shower and WC were perfectly adequate and there was a very generous supply of clean towels, shampoo, tea and coffee etc. Also a very nice coffee shop attached. Breakfast basic (help yourself to cereal, toast, ham and cheese) but perfectly fine. I didn't expect this quality for a small hotel in London.
No reading light although a switch by the bed turns on the main light.
It was clean.
There was no clear connection of internet in the room. There was no elevator. The noise of other rooms were heard in my room.
