The warm welcome on arrival and the complementary tea and delicious scones. The room was well appointed and comfortable, the bed in particular. Dinner was lovely - the menus had a good and selection and our choice was delicious and brilliantly presented.

Nothing but we were disappointed that we could only stay one night. We plan to return,

Very peaceful location with lovely gardens and views. The food was good. Good selection on the menu.

The pillows need replacing. I suggest they buy latex.

Very friendly staff. Excellent service always with a smile. Relaxed atmosphere. Lovely location. They welcomed our small dog.

The tiny double bed. It isn't really acceptable nowadays to provide a 4' 6" bed. Also the room although well appointed was a bit small.

We particularly enjoyed the food. When we first looked at the dinner menu we thought it was a bit fancy, but everything was beautifully cooked and presented with portions of an appetising size (i.e. not too big). The breakfasts were good too - excellent bacon and sausages.

Beautiful location, nice room, lovely reception areas to sit and wile away the time before dinner.

Food is very nice, but also very expensive.

Attentive helpful staff. Breakfast good, setting great.

    Coffee for 4 plus 4 biscuits on a plate = £3.95 each -- expensive !

The ambience, food and helpful staff made it a pleasure. Our 2 dogs were made very welcome too!

Courtyard room was a little draughty, and bathroom was ready for a refresh.

What's not to like. The attention to detail, the relaxed environment, the picturesque setting and the warm enviting staff made this visit special. The food in the restaurant was top rate both at dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend to anyone looking for the special getaway.

Very peaceful, comfy bed. Nice food served at restaurant and lovely breakfast. Dog friendly. Beautiful location. Attentive Staff.

My chocolate fondant was served over done with no gooey chocolate and burnt edging. I asked for a replacement and was made to feel like I'd committed mortal sin. I was told it wasn't burnt it had been rolled in cocoa powder.. I found the whole thing very embarrassing. It is a small dining room and the waitress although very attentive dealt with the issue very loudly.. A little bit of discretion would have been much appreciated. The replacement was perfect and we were able to giggle about it afterwards.
