Very warm welcome with tea and welsh cakes, gorgeous room with comfy bed, superb breakfast, and attentive hosts. Wifi worked well in the room! All in all excellent 2 day break in snowdonia national park. Simon and Lauraine go the extra mile to ensure that you enjoy your stay at Penmachno Hall, nothing is too much trouble and the surroundings are stunning. We would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone, and will definately be returning in the future. Dave and Ruth
None, we loved every minute.
the room with the sledge bed, nice garden to sit with a glass of wine. peace and quiet, you was made to feel at home, the owners were really lovley would stay there again.
Wonderful hosts, lovely room including modern bathroom, excellent breakfast. Nice and relaxing stay with loads of things to do closed by.
- enthusiastic hosts - very warm and friendly welcome - beautiful rooms - excellent breakfast - beautiful and peaceful surroundings
Simon and Lauraine were really welcoming and friendly, but gave us plenty of space - a balance lots of Guest House owners never quite achieve! Beautiful location. Nicely decorated rooms. Lovely house. Good food. Lots of ideas about the local area. Excellent facilities on offer. We stayed in the orange room which was roomy and comfortable.
My one (and only) complaint was that our double bed was really soft, making for a lot of rolling together! Also, there was a feather mattress topper on (in August!) so, even though the weather was temperate, we were sweltering!
The welcome was warm and friendly nothing was to much trouble. The best B&B we have used to date, so much information on hand what to do where to go. Have recommended it to our friends.
Nothing could not fault it.
fabulous location, very friendly and helpful hosts, everything you could possibly require was available down to shoe polish! can't think of any negatives really enjoyed our week there would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of staying in Snowdonia. William Llanelli.
Great service and very accommodating. Great for kids and fantastic location for snowdonia
Perfect country house accommodation. Kind ,friendly and unintrusive owners. Comfortable and relaxed - perfect!
Difficulty of showering for older people
Really great place to stay while exploring Snowdonia. Beautiful rooms with new en-suite bathrooms, quiet surroundings, nice garden where you can sit and relax on a sunny day and watch the sheep grazing nearby. The owners are an extremely nice and caring couple who thought of everything one might need - even a cold beer on a sunny afternoon is available. It is located in the small village Penmachno, about a ten to 15 min drive from Betws y coed where you can find supermarkets and a couple of restaurants.
We received a very warm welcome and enjoyed talking to the proprietors. They provided us with good local knowledge and made sure we had an enjoyable stay. Good facilities such as fruit in the room, nice garden and sitting room. Lovely breakfast. We rate this among the very best place we have stayed and already planning to return.
1. The owners of the Hall could not have been more welcoming. Our room was very well appointed and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast ... in terms of choice AND quality ... was superb. If we return to this attractive part of Wales again, we will look no further than Penmachno Hall!
Nothing. The Hall fulfilled our needs to the full.
A high-quality B&B in a great rural location. Owners very welcoming and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible, including accommodating our 18-month old daughter. Clean and comfortable rooms. Good choice of breakfasts available. Choice of alcoholic drinks available in the evening too.
No shower in our room; but we were aware of this before we booked.
All very pleasant and well presented. Cosy but private. Very nice décor and attentive but not imposing owners. Very warm welcome.
A little bit expensive No flexibility in serving a full breakfast at 7am which I would expect for £90/night
There was little not to love about Penmachno Hall. We mostly loved the owners with their openness and awesome breakfasts. We felt welcome with our room being very large with ensuite. Their remoteness gave the perfect getaway feeling. Looking forward to going back when their is lots of snow.
Nothing at all.
The owner, breakfast, area, the house itself......beautiful.
Cannot think of anything.
One of the best stays in a hotel/B&B for us. The hospitality of the owners is unsurpassed.
