Falmouth is an ideal location from which to explore Cornwall. Whilst the Eden Project and the Tate St Ives are only an hour's drive, there is so much to see and do in the immediate vicinity

Visit the National Maritime Museum Cornwall on the edge of Falmouth Harbour and visit the watchtower to learn more about the evolution of the port and town.

Walk around Pendennis Castle on the headland and then take the ferry to St Mawes to see the sister fortification, commissioned by Henry VIII to defend Carrick Roads against foreign invasions.

Travel information

By Car:
- Follow the signs from the A30 towards Falmouth.
- Turn right at Hillhead roundabout.
- Go straight over 2 mini roundabouts.
- After one mile turn left into Mongleath Road.

By Train:
Take the train to Truro and change here for the Falmouth branch line. Penmere Halt is half a mile down the road from us. Please let the hotel know what time you will be arriving at Penmere Halt and the hotel can arrange a taxi to pick you up.
