The room was absolutely stunning and very clean. We went for Valentines day and there was petals and a heart made from towels on the bed and chocolates on the pillows, a little touch but really lovely.
Staff very friendly and helpful at all times. The food in the restaurant is excellent. Very quiet at night. The location is very good.
We arrived the night before a wedding which meant a little more evening noise (but quiet after midnight) Only one chair in the room. The room was slightly cool during the day(fine at night )
convenient location , clean
cold room-service breakfast..
we liked the hilltop location, remote but easily accessible and within walking distance of pubs. The staff were helpful and friendly. The food was excellent.
We were disappointed with the tired appearance ( just a steam clean of the carpets, fresh woodstaining, and some vibrant cushions are all it needs to give it a new lease of life). WiFi was not available in our room.
Lovely little hotel on the hill top. Rooms were excellent. Staff extremely accommodating and responsive.
I needed to work and had no wifi in my room. But I have to be honest I didn't report the problem.
Location-Fantastic views, whilst Still only being 15 minutes from the centre of Huddersfield by car. Rooms quite large by modern standards. Free Wifi. Comfortable bed. Nicely decorated bedroom. Bathroom slighly old fashioned but very clean.
Only stayed for one night.
Nice room furnishings Location nice views
Bathroom very dated avacardo colour and hand shower over bath. Bath was raised with no grab rail so it was dangerous getting in and out (and I had an exec room) Noise from other guest Fire alarm went off 1100 hrs 5 times with no warning Loo took 4 or 5 flushes to work Radiator did not work barely Luke warm so had to get convection heater from reception Tried to charge me £1 a minute for leaving room 20 mins late.
The reception lady was very nice and helpful on arrival and sorted checking in quickly.
The room could have been cleaner. There was no fridge. On departure we stood at reception for 20 minutes waiting for someone to come to the desk - we even tried the bar but no one was around so we just left
Rooms were clean and comfortable and nicely decorated. They have all you need. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was really good and tasty. I wasn't there long enough to try the bar and restaurant but will return. The location and the views were amazing.
No headboard, a gap between the bed and the fabric valance on the wall. Arrived late and the night bell wasn't working it appears and no-one was answering the phone. Eventually found a staff member sitting in the bar who opened up for us. Not great on a freezing January morning at 00.30 after travelling all day.
Impressed by a friendly reception and helpful attitude of all other staff. Great location with far reaching views, Nice room and great breakfast.
Comfortable room & bed good improvements to bedrooms .
We traveled with our pet who stayed in the car did'nt know if he was allowed in the hotel breakfast self serve out to long dry + plates cold . Evening meal was good but mans fish & chips portion small. Our room was very nice but next to boiler room so quite noisy .
Everything about the hotel was excellent. The price was good the food was really good. Especially the breakfast which was freshly cooked. The room was good with a good sized TV and had both bath and shower. All in all excellent value for money.
Friendly staff, clean comfortable, warm modern room, adequate consumables for bathroom and for brewing up. Nice views from heli-pad
Wifi was intermittent, apart from that everything was fine
the staff, the room and the bed
Very comfortable and cosy, real fire in the restaurant area which made it feel very homely with the cold wind outside.
Very good place to stay, lovely staff and very good breakfasts
A quiet location with easy access
Bed was like sleeping on concrete and the staff could be more customer focused
Managed to check in three hours early as we were attending a wedding and had driven up from London. Hotel staff were very accommodating.
Bathroom could of been cleaned better, also no milk in room for tea for two days then we asked and was told we had to ask for a jug
Opted for the exutive room which was well laid out and the meal from the resturant was excellent, recomend the homemade scotch eggs as a starter..
Superb location with good access off the motoway. It was foggy when we stayed so could not appreciate the panoramic views as described. The breakfasts were good with plenty of variety and the special offer evening meal that included a bottle of wine was superb value. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would recommend.
Staff Facilities Breakfast
View (Foggy for the whole trip so didn't see any of the wonderful views)
dinner was nice interrupted by the fire alarm shipped outside no coats etc for 30 mins electrical fault
It says in their information if your cold we will provide extra heating it was freezing inform reception re heating says will organise heater nothing happened next am so cold hard to shower inform reception says oh will turn the heating on duhh
The meal in the restaurant was stunning! Great food!
We stayed for three nights and our towels was not changed in this time which was a problem as the radiators didn't work in the room so the room was not only cold the towels was also damp for the duration of the stay. There was also renovations to the hotel which meant it was nosey and full of work men. Whilst the staff was friendly to us, they bad mouthed each other. Also we were telephoned on my mobile at 9pm whilst in the room upstairs to say something from our room was taken and handed in at reception if by the cleaner if I'd like to collect it?! This uneased me as I didn't like the idea of people taking anything out of my room!
