The staff were very friendly and attentive and the bed was comfortable. Our room with the exception of the stained carpet was clean, but on the whole was very dated in its decor. I expected a lot more from an executive room. The television was part hidden on a cabinet that obviously wasn't made for it, the drinks glasses in the room are flimsy plastic, the toilet seat and bathroom furniture must be 10 years old and in desperate need of upgrading, the wardrobe doors were ill fitting.

It was superb for our 2 nights stay especially as the temperature fell to zero! The Staff were wonderful throughout, always smiling, always helpful and interested in us and why were we staying. Since we had come for a wedding (not the one at The Manor) we commented there on how friendly the people were compared with the South!!! I would like to make a special reference to Rachael, at The Bar and Table, such a lovely young lady and an absolute treasure. The food was also excellent and the breakfast really set us up for the chilly weather.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good room with view from Heli Pad over to the moors. Full English Breakfast was excellent as was the dinner in the Restaurant. Have a look at the plumbing detail - 3 radiator caps missing leaving only one out of four (which was broken anyway). Worst thing at hotel was the bath slip mat long past its best with a fair amount of black spore. Worth a good look at from Manager.

Friendly staff that made your stay relaxed and enjoyable. It is in a pleasant location that is easy to get to from the motorway. The food was great and good value. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. Some people in a room close by were noisy during the night, which you could hear quite easily.

Friendly staff, nice location, views from the hotel are wonderful and altogether a good place to stay at whether for business or pleasure Not much I didn't like- the chef kindly made me meals that were not on the menu as there was only one vegetarian option- perhaps there could be more choices for us non-meat eaters!

Comfortable bar, great sticky toffee pudding. Avoid room 27 (unless they replace the mattress - it was an appalling mixture of lumps and troughs). It was also dingy and the wifi signal was erratic. No real ale available on this stay. Such a contrast to my previous (superb) stay.

Executive bedroom was excellent, nicely decorated and good size. The location is excellent if you love the countryside-which we do. Breakfast was good. We stayed when there was an offer on so excellent value for money. Would definately stay again and have already recommended this hotel to friends and family. Perfect place to relax and get away. The only minor complaint that we had was the the rooms were cold, the radiators get turned off during the day and only get turned on at night which is fine during summer but we stayed in the middle of winter so I think it should be up to the guests whether it is on or off-luckily I packed jumpers. Other than that me and my boyfriend had a lovely time here.

Jason kean. Is holding this place together. He is the bright helpful and caring member of staff with ability to make a difference to a disasteruos stay. Appaling drain smell in the first room -we had to move, no telephone in the 2nd room causing havoc to get early morning calls from Australia. Breakfast incompetence on 1st day. However Jason was there to sort out the 2nd day's breakfast. Its a wild and windy place which is a superb location in calm weather a bit dramatic in high wind. We have stayed here many times but something has gone wrong and sadly we shall now find an alternative

The hotel was beautifully situated with panoramic views and the public rooms were very attractive - a cosy bar with a log burner and a lovely restaurant with great views. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent with lots of choice, not just the usual full English. Our double room was tiny and we had two large suitcases and two small ones. The hotel was pretty empty on this Sunday night in December and I think they could have gained a lot of brownie points by offering/providing an upgrade as they had a special offer for dinner, bed and breakfast on a Sunday night for only £10 more than we paid for bed and breakfast. It's a small thing for them but would have made a big impression on us, particularly given the size of the room. It has happened to us on other occasions when room occupancy was low and resulted in two very satisfied customers.

The hotel has beautiful views and is secluded away although not too far from local amenties. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The general facilities were excellent as was the food. Staff were very courteous and keen to help. I stayed for 3 nights in October and would be happy to stay here again. Other than there was no lift, I have no negative points to make.

It's setting was beautiful as was the hotel itself. The staff were very friendly, especially our waiter at Breakfast. We stayed in an executive double and it was perfect. We would definitely stay there again!! They charged the room to my card prior to my arrival. I would have preferred the opportunity to pay by cash.
