Decor somewhat tired but all was clean and tidy.

Everything We have stopped here before We used to live quite close to this hotel,so we know it quite well.

Friendly staff which were very helpful. Good breakfast and excellent views. Rooms may be a bit dated but clean and comfortable.

Hotel was shaby, old, carpets were unclean and the experience did not live up to the photographs on the website. there were no bar snacks available. The mattress was very uncomfortable and old. Unfortunately, the stay was disappointing.

The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and genuinely concerned to make sure all was as good as it could be. The breakfast was just great. The hotel was beautifully warm on a chilly evening. Views over the moors are super.

The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Waking up to the view of the snow covered countryside was beautiful.

The iron mark on the carpet and the cold water tap for the bath was hard to turn. The room was 12a

The food was excellent, the drinks selection was ok (although just 1 hand-pulled ale) and the staff were friendly.

Due to the weather (snow and high winds) the ceiling leaked water into our room. Upon complaining, the staff were excellent and we were refunded a third off the room rate.

No nonsense food

Nice hotel in a quiet location.Tea/coffee in room. Very good cooked breakfast. Best scrambled eggs I have tasted.

Nothing we didn't like apart from the thick blanket of fog that greeted us when we awoke in morning.

comfortable room, value for money

slow response to simple request for some milk for room. my wife slipped on the stairs when going down to reception to chase this matter up. has had to attend doctors with her injuries.

Very good Staff Best Steak I have had in ages

Consistantly good hotel. Been staying here every year for the last 10 years. Being a solo female traveller I need to know that I am going to feel safe and be looked after by the staff. This suits my needs perfectly.

Food was excellent breakfast great,gorgous pots of yogurt at breakfast

room a bit cold on arrival,turned radiators up and got warm soon after

very efficient friendly staff who offered help during the very inclement weather . breakfast was brilliant and had exellent choice .

i liked everything about this hotel, from the friendly welcome to the cheery oodbye

if i had one complaint it was that the water was a little too hot
