Lovely hotel, excellent staff, atmospheric bar. Looking forward to the next trip
promised parking space but no record of reservation was made, apart from the charge...!
The breakfast is great. The location is great. The facilities within the rooms are great.
Wifi is only guaranteed on the ground floor and the wired Internet within the room I had wouldn't work.
Good staff, very helpfull
Small room. Not enough storage for clothes
Friendly, welcoming staff. Pleasant ambience. Premises reasonably clean and well presented.
Poor internal access between hotel part of premises and public bar area. Air con equipment a little noisy during the night.
Location - 10 mins from train station. The shower was excellent. We had a meal in restaurant which was really nice. Would recommend and return here to stay again.
Had another stay at the Penny Bridge Hotel which is in a central location if you have business in Lancaster with nearby pay parking, excellent evening meal and a good cooked breakfast, a quiet midweek night in a modern room at the rear. Free Wi fi was good to catch up with some emails
Not being able to get a soft drink through the night.
The small presents left on the door handle on Christmas day morning were a warm, welcome but unexpected touch.
There was nothing that I didn't like.
I have stayed here once before and had a lovely stay. The hotel is in a good central location and is clean.
No wi-fi in the room - very frustrating!
Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff.
A bit shabby round the edges. Clean and tidy but could do with a little tlc. The double room was a littleon the small side.
Very busy time of year, staff coped superbly and went the extra mile.

The standard of the rooms - shower and bath, tea and coffee making facilities The standard of the public areas Most of all, the welcoming and efficient staff - a parking space was reserved for us
The lights in the room were a bit confusing - we slept with the ceiling on (dimmed) all night as we couldn't turn them off.
On arrival room had all windows open and door lock damaged. Room was freezing. Staff stated room was being aired? After un packing and settling in fault with TV identified, staff unable to fix so given another room. After managing to get some heat in the room went out only to return later to a still cold room and heater that approximately every hour decided to start up like a tractor. Informed staff the following day and was informed it was normal as was going through a cleaning cycle? At this point i gave up, put up with the next night, although it was warmer. Staff were polite and i generaly dont complain and would possibly return, but not during the winter.
Central location nice hotel
CLOSE TO CANAL
NOISY NIGHTCLUB OVER ROAD
We stayed here for a Saturday night to visit friends locally. We were in a twin room on the top floor, so even though there was traffic outside we heard nothing! Was peaceful and comfy.
Boutique style, comfortable, great breakfast and very central.
Nothing - great value for money (our second visit in 2 months!)
Bar area beautiful Victorian fiitings
Car parking on site limited.
Food and staff
Bathroom needed some maintenance
Overall room was good, the tea and coffee making facilities are good (which matters in cold countries), bed comfortable and room and bathroom nicely furnished. The entrance is a bit low key, but works well enough. Pub downstairs is rather nice. Nice views over the canal are possible. And it's a quiet enough spot.
Rowdy guests having conversations in the corridors at 2am. Not the hotel's fault, but would be good to tell guests when they arrive that they must be quiet late at night, unfortunately some of the guests are clearly not educated in hotel etiquette. This ruined my night's sleep.
Very short on parking facilities.
Modern room Comfy Beds Location
No milk proivided with the tea making facilities which was a shame as the variety of drinks provided was excellent.
Good size tv, wired internet, very powerful bath taps, excellent quality furnishings
Bathroom sink was far too shallow. Waste bins too small and if im really picky, the tv was too high on the wall.
