Pennyhill as ever offers luxury, friendliness and the best ever facilities. The Spa is heaven
Friendly excellent facilities
The beds and pillows are wonderfully comfortable. The hotel is well designed to accommodate a lot of people. An excellent location too, for airports etc.
The queues at reception. The queues at breakfast. This made a luxury hotel very downmarket.
Location, rooms, spa, golf course
A bit pricey but worth it.
We have visited Pennyhill park before, and we would always make it our first choice in spa hotels. It was my husbands 65th birthday a couple of days before and firstly we were upgraded, then there was a birthday cake and card waiting in the beautiful room and lastly when we had dinner in the evening his dessert plate was decorated with a birthday message. We were thrilled , they were lovely gestures. Thankyou Pennyhill park.
There were several of the spa facilities out of order, including an outdoor jacuzzi , the ice room and the plunge pool and considering how busy the hotel was I did feel this was a but of a let down, all things considered though their facilities are great.
The beautiful surrounding of this hotel with the swimming pool outside and the sun beds and the poolside bar was lovely. Felt like it was somewhere abroad, the sun shining did help. Lovely room and comfortable bed. Had an excellent stay for Ascot.
The Spa was excellent The food was very good The staff looking after the whole party were very good and we were moved to a lovely room in the evening Our conference room was lovely
The rooms are not 5 star - no mini bar, horrible furniture. More like 3-4 star Some staff were great some staff were not Arranging the event was overly complicated - too many phonecalls / emails from different people We were only served half our lunch - the rest was left in the kitchen!
Fabulous staff. Lovely beds. Clean and comfortable.
A little expensive - everything charged and so you don't feel much is given as goodwill. I would have a preferred a one off payment and then not think about the money for the stay.
Everything, outstanding staff, friendliness of other guests as well as staff, the beauty & quaintness of all we saw. Loved it. Moved onto London & felt cramped in the Marriott, so you spoilt us
Not having enough time to see the entire estate. Would have been nicer had we had a car
Stayed here during Royal Ascot week. Staff from arrival to departure were fantastic and could not do enough. This place is amazing in every way. Not cheap but worth every penny. Already booked for return visit.
We stayed at the Pennyhill Park Hotel for the start of Ascot week. Couldn't find fault with the staff, the facilities and the service. I will definitely stay again and recommend to friends, Five star
Staff attitude location and old building
Everything. The facilities were perfect and the staff were very helpfull.
My staying being to short.
The outdoor spa and pool facilities are excellent
The rooms are old and while some may find them charming, they feel very dated and well below par compared to other updated period hotels at the same price bracket, bed was very uncomfortable
As always a little bit of luxury that is always appreciated. Great meals.
Once again large parties in the spa that make lots of noise. We went to relax and would appreciate Pennyhill protect the noise levels for everyone. Not sure the reasons given by the duty manager were acceptable.
Staff were really friendly and could not do enough for you would highly recommend a stay at this hotel to anyone!!
Room, grounds, breakfast, spa, pool, restaurants
the spa was excellent and lots to do.
the staff was very friendly and helpful, the barman carried my drink all the way from the bar to the room as I was carrying my toddler. theylso offered some cookies to him in the bar. the room was a huge duplex, nice design, somethings dates but it added to the character. the spa is amazing, you can spend the whole day in this thermo heaven as they call it! Pure relaxation! The massage was excellent.
We were staying with a 2yo, I would agree that the hotel is not suitable for families with young children (unlike nearby Coworth park), no kind's club, children not allowed in Spa (understandable), no grounds to walk with a child, no playground. The nature of the restaurants (Michelin star and the lounge bar) are not suitable forchildren either. This is a perfect hotel for couples and groups of friends to wine and dine and enjoy the amazing spa! Also, our room was extremely hot, could not turn the radiators offo had to keep the windows open all night. No air con, just the fan on the ceiling. Also, surprisingly no mini bar. The food we ordered from the room service was good (would mention a very generous portion of smoked salmon - enough for 4 people!) but I would expect more from a hotel of such level.
Liked the decor, Staff in restaurent and bar were lovely, could, nt do enough for us. Fab bathroom Good breakfast
Did not like the attitude of female staff in reception.Asked for a room to freshen up for Mothers day lunch after a long journey, was told none available, so had to change in ladies toilet. our room not available til 3ish. Also had to pay for mothers day lunch in November, £104, advertised in hotel £45 per person. Room was hot, and a little noisy throughout the night. No lift, steep stairs.Stayed in better hotels,
Staff were particularly friendly and the spa and pool are superb.
Beautiful grounds and buildings Excellent bathroom with big walk in shower area. Comfortable bed and pillows. Very large room, I had a superior room at £315/night though.. Fan in room. Very helpful staff.
Air con seems rather inefficient, could be a problem in Summer, also windows had very restricted opening probably due to me having a ground floor room. Breakfast massively overpriced at £21 for a buffet style service. Everything at London prices (drinks/food)! The much vaunted valet parking did not work for me as the forecourt was blocked with vehicles and no-one came to attend to me so turned around and self-parked. Not a big deal but something to be noted.
Spa was fantastic. Room very nice
Very expensive Restaurant poor value for money. I had a £22 burger it didn't come with chips. It was nice. Wife had duck very small portion and wasn't to our tastes. Had an ok bottle of wine which cost £27. Probably worth £5. But this is what all the restaurants tend to do.
Spa area and treatments Bar area Our unique bathroom Perfect friendly and discrete staff
Duck liver was overcooked in Bistro Portable heater in room TV in Bathroom not workable
