The staff were friendly, helpful and able to give detailed, useful information about local places to visit. Room 3 was excellent with a balcony that overlooks a most spectacular view of Cardigan Bay. Indoor pool was gorgeous. We enjoyed the food and the fact that the hotel was eco-friendly and didn't serve butter and preserves at breakfast in those wasteful plastic packs and small glass jars. There was nothing that we didn't like apart form having to leave and go home !.

I found the staff without exception to be friendly, polite and very helpfull. The food was very tasty and plentyful in quantity with a good selection of dishes to choose from. The siting of the Penralt is quiet and restful. This has been our second stay at the Penrallt and have not been dissapointed on either occasionsion. With reference to the bathroom (No7 Garden room) There are no shelves to place wash bags and ladies makeup on. There was no soap available within reach when taking a bath.

The penrallt is set in 42 acres and is a beautiful place to be. When we arrived we thought 'wow' as it was very pretty and we weren't 100% sure what to expect. The reception area is great and we were quickly shown to our room. The room is large with a nice seating area, large bed and a really good bathroom so nothing to complain about here for sure. Facilities are excellent with swimming pools, sauna, tennis court (which we had a go at and it is safe to say, we are not tennis players). There is also a bar and two restaurants which serve reasonably priced and tasty food, well for a hotel anyway, as they tend to be massively overpriced. The staff were fun although there weren't many people in the bar/restaurant when we were there do I sense they were a little bored. They also provide games for the bar which is a cool idea as I thrashed the wife at trivial pursuit whilst enjoying a glass of wine. We felt instantly comfortable at the penrallt and will be returning without any question. First rate. There was really nothing to dislike about the penrallt, unless like some others you want to be hyper-critical listening to dido in the bar was a low point and greensleeves at breakfast (on cd not the waiting staff), was too much for me to cope with!!!

It was in a quiet & pleasant location, and the garden room was comfortable. The staff were polite & efficient. A minor point, the breakfast were mainly overcooked, especially the omlette and scrambled eggs.

We partly booked this hotel because it was described as having sea views. Unfortunately, this was not the case unless you had one of 3 rooms on the second floor facing the direction of the sea, but I have my doubts as the trees were vey overgrown !!

We loved the location half a mile from Aberporth beach and the setting of the house in its own grounds. The food was excellent The staff very pleasant and accommodating Before we moved to the fantastic Room No. 4 we were in Room 12 and with the hot weather we had to have our windows open which was near to the extraction outlet from the kitchen so we endured food frying smells to the point that we thought we were staying in a fish and chip shop Advice .........AVOID ROOM 12

We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff at the Penrallt Hotel. They were also helpful and efficient. We were allocated a garden room about 50 yards from the main hotel. It was roomy and comfortable with garden table and chairs on the grass area in front. The breakfasts and dinners were beautifully cooked and very tasty. The hotel is located in large grounds just a short drive from the pretty seaside resort of Aberporth

Beautiful building, beautifully decorated, excellent service. Was a little surprised that there was not more difference between the lighter meals available in the bar and those in the restaurant both in terms of cost and type. But the food was excellent - breakfast as well. Had a half price late room rate and thought it excellent value for money.
