Central Location in Downtown Inverness. Staff called a taxi to meet me at the airport.
Most of the staff were very young and inexperienced. My room was not cleaned and restocked on time once in 5 days. When I tried to complain, I heard, "no problem" when in fact it was a problem. Such impertinence! The Wi-Fi is much too expensive, and they wouldn't let me cancel the last breakfast even though I was checking out before it was even served. The rooms are very Spartan with no place to put your stuff. Very disappointed and will not stay at the Penta in Ipswich as planned. Nor any other Penta ever. I should have been comped.
Location, design, facilities
Only a short stay this time
Good location, friendly staff, wholesome food,
Lack of parking is unfortunate and a large negative.
Good food, good music, good staff and very clean what else do you need from a hotel
Excellent location to all bars restaurants and shops. Lovely clean rooms and an absolutely fabulous bar on ground floor level that's open 24 hours with free pool. Fabulous hotel
Cleanliness of room
The Rest of it
The helpful, friendly staff.
Staff were friendly and helpful
Rooms were clinical and cheerless. The 'night club' bar which doubled as reception.
the Staff were friendly and outgoing, rooms are a decent size and clean. Many thanks to manager Ina (frae Harris I think) and of course the lovely Katie for helping my son out with his ice bucket challenge, enjoyable stay!!
excellent location, walking distance to shopping mall and restaurants, bars etc.
Close to attractions, bright room.
The fragrance/ air freshener in the bar/ lobby - it was very overpowering and didn't end up going there for food/ drinks because of it.
The 24 hr bar was a bonus and the location is excellent.
The room was not particularly clean and, given the cost, this was very disappointing. There was also no working extractor fan in the shower.
Staff were helpful and entertaining
First of all the hotel had changed name and we were not advised by Booking.com. Over the top psychedelic decoration, the lobby/pub/restaurant area saturated by the unpleasant artifical ambiance perfume. Poor breakfast quality. If above 16 years old, should be avoided as the whole concept is designed for young people. Fast broadband was not included.
I liked that they called me back within 10 minutes of booking to tell me there was no room.
I didn't like that the website let me book the room when it didn't exist.
Staff Helpful Bar Room Clean
Only one towel in a twin room
Breakfast was nice. Room may be basic but is laid out cleverly to give lots of space. Very clean. Design is nice and a little different. Gym is small but significantly better than many boutique hotels.
Wifi is awful- very slow. Location is central but the neightbours may not be to every bodies taste. Car park is a 5-10min walk away (£4.50/24hrs) which is troublesome if you have a lot of luggage. Bathroom is stocked for a 1/2 day stay and does not appear to be replenished. Expensive for what it is.
Such nice people took care of us very well. Their obvious remodel seems to be mostly finished, restaurant is open, perfectly adequate.
The staff was totally helpful, settling us in after a 22-hour trip; the hotel is close to the bus station we needed; the restaurant is open, and the breakfast was excellent.
No complaint at all, feel lucky to have found it on-line.
Good TV with Sky Sports
Very basic, reminiscent of a Premier Inn but ridiculous price. £135 for a basic room on a Saturday night with no breakfast included. There,s a lap dancing clun next door but when you enter hotel it feels like you have entered the lap dancing club! We stay in many hotels but this is probably the worst value for money.
Room was comfortable, breakfast was good and plenty of choice. Good location for city centre.
I felt that the price was a bit much for what appeared to be a Travel Lodge style hotel, also wasn't made aware that breakfast was £2 more as we had booked before it was taken over
The bar/lounge area is chilled and funky. The staff are amazing, especially the lovely receptionist. Perfect location, lovely breakfast.
Cannot fault it at all :)
Clean, spacious room with all one needs Great breakfast (included in the room rate)
Clean, modern bright room, lovely breakfast, located in the centre of town. Affordable
Reception felt like a bit of a nightclub
