Score from 688 reviews Very good
City centre location close to shops pubs and restaurants. Staff you can't say anything bad about very helpful. Rooms are basic but comfy.
Drinks in hotel bar are expensive, and you can't park your car outside hotel.
Very good location and the staff were brilliant.
Location. Staff very pleasant & polite. Room size. Cleanliness. Easy check in/out. TV & Channels. Reasonable overnight parking just 5 Mins away (£6 overnight).
We were given a smoking room 1st (Why?). Quality/Comfort of bed could be better. Price of breakfast. No Power socket near mirror for curling tongs etc.
Breakfast was second to none thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty of choice for every kind of a petite. Thank you.
The hotel is next to a Gentleman's club and when we stayed at the hotel our sleep was broken by woman and men having no respect for others when on a "break" and they had a few throughout the night eventually got to sleep about 3.45am. So didn't sleep that well. Room was cosy and had window open. Had to close it which made the night a bit clammy.
I liked the reception I was given from friendly and informed staff.
The wifi was not great and struggled to do what I wanted to achieve.
While I neither liked not disliked it, it was a strange configuration. When you walk in the hotel it's like a disco atmosphere. Disco balls hanging from the bar in front of you, and hotel logo lights moving across the floor. A few feet away there as a sports bar feel with television and fireplaces. Odd. Good stay, pleasant.
Loved the 24 hour bar for guests. I had just moved to Scotland from Canada for my boyfriend and that was my first night here and meeting his friends and this was a great memory just sitting on your couches and getting to know everyone over drinks. Great atmosphere
The shower floor lead right out to the rest of the restroom which we didn't love. Other than that and the WiFi was touch and go. The staff was excellent and love the decor
Central Location in Downtown Inverness. Staff called a taxi to meet me at the airport.
Most of the staff were very young and inexperienced. My room was not cleaned and restocked on time once in 5 days. When I tried to complain, I heard, "no problem" when in fact it was a problem. Such impertinence! The Wi-Fi is much too expensive, and they wouldn't let me cancel the last breakfast even though I was checking out before it was even served. The rooms are very Spartan with no place to put your stuff. Very disappointed and will not stay at the Penta in Ipswich as planned. Nor any other Penta ever. I should have been comped.
Location, design, facilities
Only a short stay this time
Good location, friendly staff, wholesome food,
Lack of parking is unfortunate and a large negative.
Good food, good music, good staff and very clean what else do you need from a hotel
Excellent location to all bars restaurants and shops. Lovely clean rooms and an absolutely fabulous bar on ground floor level that's open 24 hours with free pool. Fabulous hotel
Cleanliness of room
The Rest of it
The helpful, friendly staff.
Staff were friendly and helpful
Rooms were clinical and cheerless. The 'night club' bar which doubled as reception.
the Staff were friendly and outgoing, rooms are a decent size and clean. Many thanks to manager Ina (frae Harris I think) and of course the lovely Katie for helping my son out with his ice bucket challenge, enjoyable stay!!
excellent location, walking distance to shopping mall and restaurants, bars etc.
Close to attractions, bright room.
The fragrance/ air freshener in the bar/ lobby - it was very overpowering and didn't end up going there for food/ drinks because of it.
Firstly the staff, all of the staff were very friendly, Sam especially ! Nothing was too much for them, they would welcome you with a smile whatever time you came in ! Then there is the breakfast WOW ! Wonderful spread so many options, all delicious and freshly cooked not left to dry out ! You were given the option of fresh bread , I did like this, so many to choose from, excellent *****
No car parking, shame, but not all clients have cars. On the whole I like to keep an eye on my car that's all.
The 24 hr bar was a bonus and the location is excellent.
The room was not particularly clean and, given the cost, this was very disappointing. There was also no working extractor fan in the shower.
Staff were helpful and entertaining
First of all the hotel had changed name and we were not advised by Booking.com. Over the top psychedelic decoration, the lobby/pub/restaurant area saturated by the unpleasant artifical ambiance perfume. Poor breakfast quality. If above 16 years old, should be avoided as the whole concept is designed for young people. Fast broadband was not included.
I liked that they called me back within 10 minutes of booking to tell me there was no room.
I didn't like that the website let me book the room when it didn't exist.
