In the bustling center of Ipswich, Novotel Ipswich has spacious rooms with large work desks and luxury rain showers.

Score from 254 reviews Good
This 18th-century, family run hotel offers full English or light breakfasts, as well as evening meals. Located just 7 minutes’ walk from Ipswich town centre, it has free Wi-Fi and free parking.

A 5-minute walk from the center of town, Premier Inn Ipswich Town Centre (Quayside) is also across from the estuary and Ipswich marina.
Score from 225 reviews Very good
Parking at the hotel was terrible. The nearest car park was a 5min walk from the hotel. 5min isnt a long walk but very difficult if your carrying luggages and a baby.
Everything was great. Staff warm on arrival and throughout and very professional. The lounge was so relaxing, comfy and ambient with soothing lighting. Great atmosphere all round, fab food and quiet in room and corridors. Will return!
Only dislikes were the bed which was very low down and in a rickety wooden base which made me feel unsupported and also, the speakers were a little loud just over the dining area.
Location, staff welcome, quality of room. Perfect location for railway station and Ipswich Town Football Club. Also excellent for car travel - easy to get to and straightforward to leave. Parking is a little tight but fine.
Reception combined with Bar and Coffee machine. Strobe lighting.
It is near town centre and Ipswich Town FC which is the purpose of my visits to Ipswich.
Unfortunately we arrived in the midst of the transition and had difficulty using the parking facilities due to the builders vehicles. This was just bad timing but did not spoil our weekend.
all of it
Location is quite good
Lack of parking, very uncomfortable bed, WiFi extremely slow, very noisy room
Staff friendly Room clean Comfy bed
Small car park Hospitality tray very near the floor No shelf in shower to store shampoo shower jel etc
This hotel was initially The Ramada so it's only been a Penta Hotel for 3 weeks, so reception complete but bedrooms still in the old style. The beds in The Penta will be Kingsize with funky furniture which this hadn't got as it wasn't complete so beds just small double & not anywhere near as comfy, but staff great & location good.
As above, the beds & old style furniture but this will change with the return of the brand.
The dust. Being given rooms x2 already occupied !!!! No proper place to eat. Being woken by building work. Complete disruption of an experience that was planned to celebrate our first anniversary should of stayed else were
Quiet, comfortable, central location, close to station
The new entrance is like a club. Perhaps they want to encourage younger people to stay there. They have removed soap dispensers and now offer small bag of products. Please, we need a soap dish of sorts to put them on.
Had a nice freshly prepared lite dinner which was very good
Prices were a bit steep... Food seemed expensive Had an issue with the plumbing in my room which was dealt with quickly and very professionally
Friendliness of staff, cleanliness and cool bar and reception.
No free wifi
Stylish hotel with clean, modern rooms.
Parking is a bit awkward.
Room was basic but functional, very clean. Breakfast was outstanding best ever in a hotel, fantastic choice and brilliant service, nothing too much trouble
When the doors opened to the hotel we were greeted to decor like a nightclub with spot lights projecting around the room. Had to shout at the girl at the bar for her to hear us booking in. Price for car park was a surprise. Air condition unit was not worth having
How modern and funky it looked...the rooms were clean and stylish...the staff were very friendly and helpful...definitely would book here again
No food in the vending machines
Room was clean and OK standard.
The bed was noisy :P
Very friendly, attentative staff, comfortable room, good location, modern bar area
Lack of car park space due to updating work being carried out on public areas, minimal clothes storage space
The room was very comfortable and clean and the shower was great. The room was very good value.
The hotel had just changed from Ramada to Pentland, the bar/lounge area was very dimly lit with strange decor and there was a weird ph (pentland hotel) light moving around, not a place I wanted to spend any time and I fear the staff will soon be off sick with depression. We didn't eat breakfast there as it was overpriced, the dinner menu was very limited and expensive.
The staff were friendly
No signs to hotel. Very noisy air conditioning. Workmen everywhere
Comfortable beds Helpful staff Good food but unfortunately breakfast was not hot enough on bank holiday Monday Comfortable lounge in which to have a drink with nice background music Good showers in bedrooms Cleanliness in hotel
Very Poor parking facilities Noise from traffic in front bedrooms on roadside. Not sure if the window seals are effective Lighting could be better in dining facilities. More daylight in this area might reduce dependency on electricity and reduce your electric bill As you provide a Buffett style breakfast the area seems to be to be a bit on the small side for a large number of guests
Clean basic room. Reasonable size.
Bathroom was let down by nasty metal hand basin and no hand towel rail. No dedicated reception area, bar staff double as receptionists in a very open bar area. Limited parking facilities. Not a great location, a bit remote from town centre. No drinks or snacks in any of the vending machines we saw. Slow computer system caused queues on checking out. No free wi Fi in room.
Very pricey plus extra for parking
Inadequate parking, public parking a good way off Very basic accommodation Poor choice of over-priced bar food. £25 deposit taken for no reason. No room service nor restaurant until after 6.30pm Road noise throughout the night for rooms on the front of the building
Location was fantastic to the train station and town only 10 minute walk. The bar in the evening had a fantastic relaxed feel about it, good chillout space. (free pool) Rooms were clean and tidy.
Recent name change - from ramada to pentahotels - This was not communicated. No dedicated checkin desk, shared with bar - This caused slowness all round especially with the confusion over bookings that was experienced that day by other customers. (Due to name change) All vending machines were empty.
