Penventon Park Hotel

Reception rooms are comfortable and clean. The new breakfast menu on trial looks an imporvement and would recommend adopting it.

I felt that the dinner menu was overpriced for the quality.The bedroom was in need of refurbishment.

Clean, comfortable room, good food, friendly staff

The high standard of furnishing and decor in the public areas, the courteous, efficient and friendly staff, the excellent food and the first-class pianist in the restaurent. The comfortable, covered smoking area was a welcome bonus.

The fittings and decor in the bedroom didn't quite match the rest of the hotel. As a single traveller, the small size wasn't really an issue but would have been in other circumstances. However, this was certainly not enough to put me staying there again - which I intend to do.

our room was very small and when we complained the manager immediately offered to discount which he did to our satisfaction

Very friendly and obliging staff. We were offered a free upgraded room because of functions which may have disturbed us in the original room allocated.

The evening meals were excellent but rather expensive from resident guests' point of view, as there did not appear to be half-board facilities at an inclusive rate.

A good central location for visiting Cornwall

During our four day stay our towels were not changed

The staff were helpful and courteous; the room was kept to a very good standard which helped make the stay a pleasant experience.

It would be helpful to have a warning on booking details for sat nav users as it will take you to the wrong side of the hill (missed road signs). Limited eating options in the bar for those not wanting a formal meal

Hotel had seen better days and was expensive for what it was. Breakfast staff were good but reception staff were indifferent. Having said that, welcome to England.

excellent hotel, staff very good, food good, best breakfast I have had at a hotel. We had the superior size room which was large and comfortable. Hotel in good location for travelling the area.

We had a problem with the room allocated when we arrived but this was sorted quickly and our room was upgraded.

We liked the bedroom, reception , dining room and bar areas, we were extremely disappointed that the spa hours were so limited at the weekend as this was the main reason we booked with you.
