Penventon Park Hotel  

The staff were all very friendly, the appearance of the hotel public rooms was good and the standard of food very good.

The décor of the rooms was terrible - like something out of the 70s but without the kitsch appeal. Lino on the bathroom floor took me right back - but not where I wanted to be! Although the restaurant food was good it was also all a bit 70s too and ott with the heavy menu folders and the room decoration. Also felt £25 for a 3 course Sunday roast a bit steep and shame no 1/2 course option for the roast.

The restaurant was excellent. Gorgeous environment and menu great, food was gorgeous.

Noisey. Very noisey. Didnt sleeep well on either night. We had ground floor room and all night had upstairs room squeaky loud floor boards.also there are alot of functions weddings etc so noise from disco etc til midnight. Im still waiting for the manager to get in touch to discuss.

The food was very good and the dinning room was very pleasant. The sitting room was very nice, a good place to sit and have a pre-dinner drink. The staff were friendly and quite helpful.

I booked a twin room for myself and friend for a birthday present. We were shown to a room with a double bed which could not be turned into two so we had to move to another room with twin beds. Not as nice as first one. I splept in single which was very uncomfortable.

This is luxury on a budget. eclectic, fun, beautiful furnishings and grounds. Comfy beds, lots of good pillows and full made to order English breakfast in bed! Full bath with tub, really good room service and menu. Free parking and wi-if. Spa, gym, lovely restaurant, phone in room. Lots of little extra appointments not expected for the price. Lovely staff at every level.

The staff was outstanding the location excellent, food was fantastic but the magestic setting, the building itself Is lovely, Immaculately, clean. Big rooms, eclectic and historical,come back we did and will again. Excellent wifi and Internet. Free parking full breakfast on room service, just a lovely above average experience at hoof value Maria from Canada with a Cornish hubsnd

Not a complaint , but for a sevral day stay, mini fridge in the garden suites would be lovely

The location, we were there for a family party but it felt like a place you could really relax.

The food, sorry but did not like the breakfast at all although there was a varied menu, would also have been good if staff had told us where everything was, cerals etc and to help ourselves ,the room we had was a bit dated.

Everything about the hotel from finding it through our stay and the restaurant undersells itself,not cheap but excellant fare

The staff were very obliging,helpful & courtious. The food was outstanding,chef would always accomodate what you would like. Waiting staff excellent.

Dinner in restaurant was well above average - excellent chef, attentive friendly staff. This should be strongly mentioned on the website I would stay again for this reason alone

Single room was very small, fault in tv gave upgrade to double room which was still smaller than I would expect of a double though it was well presented

They were very friendly and always helpful with everything that I needed.

I had the indian korma, room service. I had this meal the last time I visited (one year previous) and it was delicious. This time I can truly say it was disgusting

Very welcoming atmosphere and staff. Wonderful restaurant serving imaginitively presented great tasting locally sourced food. Wonderful breafkast as well.
