A perfect location for exploring the region. Food was ok. Very shabby throughout, hallway to room 29 has a awfull smell and was riddled with damp walls. Room was bare and stark with mould all over bathroom window and bedroom door looked like it had just been reclained from a wood salvage yard.

The staff generally were very helpful and experienced. The food quality & variety in the restaurant was very good. Room facilities were poor overall and bathroom/ shower fittings showed poor maintenance. Generally the hotel requires much improved housekeeping and maintenance (carpets dirty and doors ill matched and unpainted. Noise from adjoining room poorly insulated. In short the hotel requires a major refurbishment and attention to detail on facilities and housekeeping.

It was a lovely building and the room was surprisingly large. It was quiet, I was not disturbed by noises through the night once. And the breakfast was buffet style with both hot and cold food on offer. Very pleasant stay.

The place was very friendly with both staff and local patrons greeting me on arrival. Food was mostly local produce and of good quality and the room was well laid out and comfortable. Nothing really other than perhaps a reception sign on entering the front door: The reception is the bar, which I found easily enough!

Loved the location the hotel and room was very comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean.Would definately visit again. Breakfast was resonably good value however my husbands fried egg was burnt on the bottom and cooked mushrooms were not to his liking.I did enjoy all my breakfast.

Nice clean room, friendly staff, good value for money paid, breakfast was fine. Could be great if improvements are made. Such a shame, really nice location. The smell, as you enter and all the way through the hotel, with the exception of the bedrooms, there is a strong smell of cooking fat. This is enough to make potential customers leave. Really off putting when you come out of your romm for breakfast. Hence the extremely poor reviews on other websites (TA), you should really take note of what people are saying. In need of complete revamp. Probably the worst bed I have ever tried to sleep in, mattress very old and soft without any support whatsoever, I turned the mattress myself for the second night, but not much difference, (although revealed the mattress to be worn and stained). Breakfast time - Menu only two cooked choices on it, yet they had run out of one, we were the first to attend breakfast. I really don't understand that, cooked breakfast or kippers, sorry we don't have kippers?? Craster is not too far away. No selection of continental cheeses or shaved ham as printed on the menu. Overall decent B&B could easily be so much better.

The percy arms is in an excellent location. Good food The percy arms needs updating At a cheaper price would be acceptable. We were quoted £99 for one of our party's double room but were charged £65 which was overpriced.

The Percy Arms is ideal for touring the Northumbria National Park. The food is excellent. The only drawback is when coach tours are in you have to use the bar area to eat which could do with being decorated as nicely as the Dinning Room which is lovely.

Convenience for our grand-daughters marriage in Bellingham and Reception in Otterburn We, as a family used 3 bedrooms, one bedroom was above a Karikee night and was noisy until 2pm. The other two rooms were very quiet. Suggest guests making reservations, ask for rooms not above the late saturday night entainment.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean with comfy beds. The price was really good value. And the breakfast was as good as much more upmarket hotels. The passageways were in need of upgrading. Not suitable for anyone disabled.
