Very central and yet quiet and peaceful. The girl attending to breakfast is very good.
The fact that one has to check-in or have a hot breakfast on the other side of Castle Str. Very inconvenient
breakfast at Clare House was excellent Beds were very comfortable Complimentary drinks and biscuits Location excellent
Noise from room above and outside at the weekend Having to go out to Clare House for full breakfast Having to park at Clare House
The only problem was that the beds were a bit too narrow.
Central to everything Canterbury has to offer .
In a convenient position for places of interest, shops, restaurants and the bus station.
I [phoned before arrival and said we would arrive by taxi, I would alight at Castle Hotel to register and my sister would continue to Peregrine with the luggage. I alighted opposite the main door onto the street and waited 5 minutes, knocking and ringing, before an answer. Was told that door was not used, entrance in car park. No notice on the door directing me to car park. After registering, walked to Peregrine. My sister was waiting on the pavement. No-one to let her in. This had not been stated when I phoned. I had booked a family room, this was all that was available. 2 single beds, 1double. No bedside light for single beds, no nearby light. Problem solved next day when twin room became available. This was very suitable and comfortable. I found your system of registering at a different address most inconvenient. Communication between the two addresses appeared difficult. I would not choose to stay there again.
Large comfortable room on a quiet street in the centre of town.
A bit pricy and the poor quality breakfast unacceptable in this price bracket.
Close to amenities (walking distance) Clean Tasteful shabby-chic/literary decor Nice vibe
Having to pick up key from another location Morning staff at breakfast a bit lost
Room size and breakfast and car parking.
Very noisy drunk revellers going past our room friday and saturday nights, all night. Sunday was nice and quiet.
Located in the very centre of the town.
Very little room with extremely narrow bed (80 cm). I had to put the matras on the floor to be able to sleep at all. Not acceptable for this rate! Also heavy gull screaming in the neighbourhood. Reception in another building (wasting time).
Loved the fact that we were very near town but not on the Main Street. Facilities were clean and comfortable. Bathroom very nice. The bedroom was large and just what we needed. Breakfast downstairs was basic but did the job!
Checking in at the main reception and then dragging our cases along to the actual house was a bit of a chore...not a huge problem, but not ideal. A good 5 minute walk. I would recommend that you pay as you check in, then you don't have to return back to check out!
comfortable room on the whole
bed along side window, long walk to breakfast at the main hotel
The room was clean and comfortable and very well fitted out. Amenities were also good. Cold breakfast was ok but after 2 days I elected to have a cooked breakfast elsewhere. Staff not always on duty at this annex but when there they were very helpful.
No cooked breakfast at this annex location... the main hotel did provide hot breakfast but this was a fair walk away.
great position right off the High Street very nice service
proper English breakfast only served in the main hotel building (Castle House Hotel), which is a 5 minute walk away; breakfast at Peregrine House itself was nothing special
We liked the location and comfort
It was a bit noisy in the house and we heard pipe noises at night.
I loved the location of Peregrine House and my room was tiny but perfect. Good value for money, within walking distance to everything in central Canterbury (but not cheap, especially with no staff and no room service--it's more of a B&B than a hotel). Very comfortable, enjoyed it, especially the breakfasts at the main hotel (nice to see someone else when you're travelling alone).
No staff at all! Staff at the main hotel five blocks away, that is where you are supposed to check in and out. Got there and noone even to open the door, had to call main hotel and get them to send someone over.
It was very cosy
The ambience of the room and the entire hotel was amazing. Would definitely come back.
Everything we required was provided. We were minutes away from everywhere we wanted to go. And the breakfast was excellent.
Parking could be a problem.
It was quiet, centrally located and cosy, with good choice of breakfast.
Staff were very polite and helpful. I had booked a room in Peregrine house but was offered the opportunity to stay in their other hotel which suited me better. Location is excellent; very close to the centre of town and the Cathedral.
The shower wasn't very powerful, but when I told reception they assured me something would be done about it. I didn't stay long enough to ensure it did. The main hotel backs onto a rather busy road with noise throughout the night. Peregrine house isn't near any busy roads so would've probably been quieter.
clean comfortable and friendly
View from the room. Noisy from person walking in the room upstairs.upstairs
Very clean, the stuff very helpful, good location, nice in general
No reception , you have to get your room key from another hotel
Location and staff
No reception and bed comfort
