Position relative to Prestwick golf course
Very tired appearance and greatly in need of updating and decorating
Good location, close to town, right opposite golf course.
Breakfast was lovely and staff really friendly!
Great location staff very welcoming and cheerful. Breakfast was well laid out and plenty of choice plus the cooked breakfast had plenty choices the poached eggs were cooked to perfection. Bedroom was clean and comfortable.
The curtains in bedroom let a lot of light in and therefor I was awake very early.
Turned up no one there to greet us the person on duty went out for there daughters food. Went to room went for shower I hardly fitted in shower it that small am 5foot 3inches average build! Soap dispenser fell on my head. As for sleep just didn't happen. Went to airport in morning knackered would not recommend
Lovely comfortable clean room. Yummy breakfast with lots of choice. Staff very efficient and well mannered. Couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. A good team. Would recommend it. handy for shops train station and beach.
Couldn't fault anything.
The staff were good and good was good
We weren't in main building , TV didn't work , shower didn't work right
No wifi in rear annexe building
friendly staff great location good hearty breakfast
building work going on we stayed in annexe at back of hotel meaning we had to walk outside to dining room .
Shower was pathectic
Location perfect for golf. Staff friendly and breakfast good. A bit expensive but it was a busy weekend with the Commonwealth Games.
You'd have to run around to get wet in this shower but there was no way you could do this as it was freezing for 95% of the time and then skin strippingly hot for the other 5%.
Massive clean well appointed room
Nice cosy annex room, massive bed. Some DIY work on progress this was detailed on note posted in hallway of annexe. Really good breakfast, good selection and cooked breakfasts made to order. Great staff, Anthony and his family very helpful and welcoming. Great location near to town and beach. Would definitely go back.
Location, very close to the railway station and with lovely views of the links course. Great breakfast. One room was great
They didn't receive the information about my dietary requirement. Our bathroom door wouldn't shut and the bathroom needed up dating.
The man on the front desk was fantastic. As soon as he saw we had a baby he went out of his way to upgrade us to a bigger room.
We arrived to a lovely lady on reception who couldn't be more helpful. The room was beautifully decorated and furnished. Breakfast was freshly cooked. Overall an excellent hotel with lovely staff.
Great welcome, clean and comfortable rooms and the breakfast was all anyone could ever ask for, 5 star rating!
Location within town.
room, bathroom dirty.a dirty razor in shower from previous occupant, dirty glass with toothpaste inside and on glass shelf again from previous occupants. flower pieces for hair in room and bathroom, room very dusty.door to room had faulty lock . bed pushed into corner therefore had to climb in out of bed.lacking in toilet paper. breakfast poor not cooked properly and very greasy.
the staff the room and the breakfast were fab and we will be back couldnt have asked a better hotel and we have stayed in some expensive ones that were not as good. thank you
i would have liked to have the option of an evening meal but we did eat out at scruffy duffys and caprice
the fact we only stayed one night
This place cant be called a Hotel . when we arrived there was no one on the reception . they owner/manager was at the Hotel next door cooking . the room was big but very dirty . there is no bar and no where to eat at the hotel , we were told we could go next door and have drinks . this was not really what was advertised . would not recommend this Hotel to any of my friends or family .
friendly welcome, courteous staff, excellent value money
Close to the golf course.
I booked this for my daughter and son who were very disappointed with hotel I looked at reviews before I booked and this is my reason writing this comment. The bar and resteraunt were shut. They asked for an iron and ironing board and were only given an iron. Apparently the place was empty out when I booked it said there were only two rooms left. Would not recommend this hotel as my grown up children have staying in mAny hotels working over the last six months and would not go back to this hotel.
The Old Course Hotel provides an excellent touring base for the Ayrshire coast. Located in the town of Prestwick it provided the ideal venue for a seaside weekend. The staff were helpful and breakfast was tailored to taste and the stay was value for money.
