Great pool for the kids to play in whilst dad went to a local sports tournament. Mum (me) didn't have to worry about entertaining the kids.

Only downside was no fridge in the room to keep fruit and drinks cold.

Like the Location of the hotel and also was very happy with our room. It was nice, clean and located in the quieter area. Breakfast was very good, lots of options. Leisure facilities was nice too.

Restaurant staff could improve on politeness and a smile :)

Great pool/sauna Staff generally friendly Well priced room

Had to wait over an hour to check in as the room wasn't ready. Usually wouldn't be a problem, but given that we were only staying the one night and wished to spend some time in the pool/sauna; this are into our time significantly. The staff were great but seemed very stretched!

Some of decorations of hallway and communal areas looked a little tired

The staff where very kind and generous. The pool was kept very clean and the hotel in General was well maintained. The gardens are also lovely and the bedrooms ensured a good night sleep in much comfort.

There was nothing we weren't happy about apart from a long wait for scrambled egg to be replaced at breakfast on our stay.

Staff and cleanliness was excellent . Caters for business guests and conference . The suite was excellent and did meet all our family needs . Travelling with our son ( 14 ) years slept on a bed settee in the living room .

The food was poor . However there was a busy vintage car rally that may have added to kitchen pressure . I would not recommend the food .

The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful and the pool area was nicely set out. ~The reception was inviting and seating areas clean and up to date.

I would have preferred a harder bed, but that is because I prefer a hard mattress but that was the only nit pick, however, I understand that not everyone likes a firm mattress. The wallpaper could do with updating now and decorating.

Can't blame the hotel but within thirty minutes of arriving someone attempted to steal my wallet whilst I used the leisure facilities

OK for a one night stop over.If you are driving up or down the A1 -hotel located very close.Bar that-about what one would expect for its type and level

We knew hotel was close to the A1 but isolated to the degree one would need to rely on the hotel's own facilities. However they could not offer us a table for dinner so it seems hotel cannot completely facilitate-given its total guest foot-fall for whatever reason- full residents. There was room service available-but menu choices also unavailable as 'sold out'.

The warm welcome from reception, and dining staff, lovely room, excellent dinner. Breakfast was one of the best we have enjoyed! Such fantastic choices. I asked for porridge to be made with soya milk and it was produced with a smile. My husband also enjoyed the leisure centre. We will definitely be back for a longer stay.

    too short a stay!

Unfortunately there's quite a list ! Receptionist upon arrival was like an android, no personality or warm greeting, very cold ! The room was nearly in the next town and believe it or not this Hotel still has smoking rooms which I was unfortunate enough to be allocated ! As I'd drove for two hours to the Hotel I decided that a beer was in order only to be told the pumps were playing up and beer wasn't available........... So I headed for the lounge area near reception with my glass of still water, sat down only to be chilled by a draft blowing in from outside, asking the receptionist if she could close the doors she informed me that only one set could be closed as the inner set were broken ! I stayed on a particular cold weekend in June and the room was freezing to say the least, no heating or thermostat control in the room, only cool, cold or freezing aircon. Decided to call reception for an alternative means of heating, only to be greeted by the android receptionist who said a heater would be delivered to the room. An hour and a quarter later an electric heater was delivered ! Still I guess if the heaters are stored the same distance the other side of reception, I shouldn't have expected it any sooner really !!! The restaurant called asking about my inclusive dinner and at what time I would like to dine. I hadn't booked a dinner but after the problems I had already endured I figured this was on the Hotel, accepted and arranged for dinner to be served at 21:00. Only to be called back ten minutes later to be told that the restaurant had made a mistake !!! Decided to have dinner anyway only to be told the management had decided to close the restaurant as there weren't enough people using it that evening ??!! After objecting they kindly let me dine, only to be constantly disturbed by the guests of a wedding reception who were in and out, finding it hilarious !

We liked this place. Easy to find. Great food for dinner and brekkie. Bed was very comfy. Linen top notch. Lovely spacious room. Good polite staff. Free parking.

Having to pay for wireless internet in the room. It really should be an all in price now at all hotels. It was free downstairs though in the bar areas etc.
