The location is perfect if you want to stroll in the city or just sit on the balcony and appreciate the views. The food is superb and the staff is always very friendly and accommodating.
The phone didn't work in my room and even after I complained, it was not fixed.
the amazing staff who made our stay special
Very small room!
Comfortable, quiet with beautiful views and highly professional and polished staff.
Were the hotel is
Room service menu was limited and then we were informed that two of the starters were not available. On ordering a third option, grilled goats cheese salad with anchovies and walnuts, it arrived ungrilled without anchovies or walnuts. After a phone call, another salad arrived with grilled cheese, anchovies and one walnut.
Beautiful hotel and location so close to the river in Richmond
The room had no air conditioning and was very hot on our arrival.
Some nice luxury touches, from the hand-written welcome to the complimentary macarons. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Food was great.
The view from the room, Staff were lovely however Robin extremely friendly and helpful . Playing the piano in the foyer and the food was gorgeous, accompanied by the best sunset in ages.
All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Located within minutes of the Thames for walking, running, cycling and restaurants. Dinner menu was delicious.
hotel rooms needs to be modernised
hotel interior nice until you come to the room which is outdated, but clean, nice new flat tv screen, has a balcony, staff very nice, well presented hotel, requested an iron which was brought promptly, very quiet
Breakfast by the window. Nothing too busy or too crowded, Service excellent - minor problem promptly dealt with.
The variable rates charged according to demand, our friends booked later than us and got a much cheaper rate.
The hotels position
The water pressure in the shower was not much more than a strong trickle and temperature control was almost impossible.
Efficient reception both on late check-in and for quick check out. Comfortable bed and good room standard. Pleasant breakfast - beautiful surroundings & attentive staff although speed of service and warmth of food could have been improved.
We had three nights at the Petersham with our families and were treated wonderfully. The entire experience was outstanding and they made us feel very special.
A pity there is no refrigeration in the room, as complimentary water was tepid.
Very agreeable hotel, with helpful staff. Restaurant food very good - except for rather odd coffee at breakfast, and I'd prefer unsmoked back bacon to the smoked streaky.
Great location over looking the river . Staff were excellent went above and beyond . Breakfast very good but 2 eggs would be than 1 . Would stay there again no worries
Great location and views. Very imposing building
The taxis booked by the hotel were twice as expensive as those used on the way back from town.
Despite the dismal weather it was a pleasure to stay at a place where everything was done to make guests welcome and to provide really high quality amenities. The hotel is positioned to give the classic view of the Thames at Richmond and sitting in the warm lounge looking out at this while enjoying a drink was a good holiday experience.
The breakfast service was a bit slow and the porridge was like rice pudding. Also the cooked food was cold and had to be sent back.
The location of the hotel was good and the reception staff helpful
Nothing to dislike
The quality of the hotel. The helpful, attentive and friendly staff. The venue was perfect for my daughter's wedding and the staff were all most helpful. The overnight stay was very comfortable in the well appointed room . The location is perfect-views of the river
I had a standard double room which was on the small side, north facing with a half height window - not particularly impressive. It had an unpleasant smell rather like mothballs too. The room had two chairs one of which was threadbare and dirty to a degree I could hardly believe. I reported it at the end of my say but If I hadn't been so tired I would have reported it the moment I arrived. How can a hotel miss such a thing? I was looking forward to a good bath but it took 15 minutes to fill it. I was only on the 4th and top floor! How can the pressure be so poor?
I was on a Thames Path walk and stayed for one night. The hotel was very convenient for this and reasonably so for the town. The dining facilities were good and the overall standard and facilities reasonably good. I appreciated the unlimited free room Wi-Fi particularly.
Hotel view was breath taking. atmosphere. The hotel is very English.
Very comfortable bed, and splendid breakfast.
The welcoming, polite and amenable staff. Comfortable accommodation. The staircase.
