The reception staff were incredibly polite and helpful. Very professional and personable, very impressed! The hotel was lovely. The room was clean and comfortable with extra blankets and lots of hanging space. There was plenty of mirrors which is unusual in a hotel. The only slight imperfection was that the only satellite channels were sports and news. It would be better value for money if there were some additional channels available. Only a slight issue though and it didn't spoil my stay.

The location and surrounding area are superb. The staff were excellent, and dealt with a minor complaint with speed and efficiency. The restaurant experience was second to none, with the staff acommodating a large group containiong a couple of fussy eaters with good grace. On arrival, our room had not been cleaned properly. However, it was cleaned immediately once I complained and we were offered an upgrade.

I should tell you that we thought that the duvet on our bed was really intended for a smaller bed. It only just covered the width of the bed without two bodies underneath it. However as the room was well heated it perhaps was not the problem it might have been for other guests.

The location and view are really something. If you like old british flair than this is a good hotel. Basic expensive breakfast. Beds are very hard and small. Rooms are tiny.

Stayed for 2 nights staff very friendly, hotel very clean, warm, bed very comfortable. Very expensive breakfast £14 plus £3 service charge. Had 2 drinks in bar vodka and tonic, southern comfort and coke could not believe the price £16.50 for 2 drinks, Taxis ordered by the hotel were doulbe the price. For the above reasons I would not stay at this hotel again. Way over priced

I cannot fault the hotel or the staff. They were welcoming, friendly and very professional. I know the hotel from having lived nearby so I know the food is outstanding - my breakfasts were just as good and the staff could not have done more. My room was good and just what I needed. The position is of course unique and made my good breakfasts memorable looking out over Petersham Meadows to the Thames - what a view!

I ordered breakfast for both my wife and myself for the 2 mornings we were going to be there. In the end I only had one breakfast on the first morning. When I asked ot have the other 3 removed from the bill the response was not well thought out - I'm sure he didn't really mean to imply I was lying but it came out as "well I can't tell that so you'll just have to pay anyway". In the end he removed from the bill the two breakfasts from the second morning but still charged me for two on the first. It's a nice hotel but I'm really not a liar and believe in a fair service. Because of this I will never stay there again and as I'm going to be travelling to Richmond ove the next year to attend 9 weekend courses this amounts to them loosing nearly £3k all for the sake of the desk clerk not just taking the benefit of the doubt over a £10 breakfast charge...

I lived in the area many years ago, so know the hotel. I attended a rugby function there at that time. A few years ago my wife and I called in for lunch on my birthday and had a very good experience. For some time we have been trying to book a weekend to coincide with her birthday, but until this year the hotel was fully booked because of rugby at Twickenham. We enjoyed the location, close to Richmond and the park, and especially the view from the dining room. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the fact that we could park the car for the weekend and walk to the town or use public transport. Food was excellent. We enjoyed the Richmond Theatre. Sorry, just can't think of anything. We had such a good weekend

Service was fantastic - very welcoming and friendly as well as highly efficient. Breakfast and views from dining room were great. Room was very well appointed and spotless - all round one I will use again Nothing - in a perfect world the bathroom would have been fractionally bigger but that is the only thing I can think of

“It was a pleasure staying in a Hotel where everything worked well. There was no damage to any of the tiles in the bathroom and the hot water was plentiful, unlike other hotels that we have stayed in. Our juniour suite was fabulous with panoramic views of London city. The mini bar was fully stocked and the whole experience was thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable.” Nigel, Hereford |
