“ Very clean and tidy and very friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent and all other facilities. We could not fault this guest house. It is one of the best we have stayed in for a long time and good value for money. Would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good nights sleep and excellent food and service. ”

The service received was very good and delivered in a friendly way. Lots of parking space on the road outside. Just a 10 minute walk away from the main attractions. I didn't spot anything I disliked. The room size was ok as I only stayed for one night. However if I was to stay there for a week I would prefer a bigger room. There maybe some bigger rooms available if booked in advance - but I'm just guessing.

Made to feel very welcome on arrival. Very clean and comfortable, spacious room. Great breakfast. Liked th location of the B&B in relation to sea front/beach. Nothing.

It was home from home,added bonus i did not have to spend time in the kitchen.Lovely owners nothing was to much trouble for them,they went out of their way to please.My two teenagers are the first to moan if things are not clean,but they could not find anything wrong with this guest house,the only complaint they had was not being able to stay longer !

My partner & I particularly liked the Philmar because it was a family run hotel. They were very friendly and helpful and could not do enough for us. Their little girl was very friendly too I would go as far as to say a credit to them. We would definitely go back again.

everything about philmar guest house was great,emailed to ask for a rose in the room on mine and my husbands arrival as it was a early birthday suprise for my husband and a late honeymoon and there it was in the room,friendly, service fantastic,, could not have booked a better guest house, great location 5 minutes from beach nice and pieceful, breakfast super good choice breakfast menu,honesty fridge great selection prices resonable ,andrea and tim super people warm and friendly very helpful, felt so at home booked an extra night, will be definetly going back again carnt wait x nothing

The owners were very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast menu system of choosing your items the evening before was an excellent idea as everything on your plate that you then like. Would definately recommend and would also go back ourselves.

A nice friendly atmosphere, very good value for money with no compromise on quality for that. Very helpful and accomodating owners. Perhaps one easy chair in the room rather than 2 stools would be an improvement.

The staff were friendly & very welcoming all ages. The breakfast was very nice, especially the vegetarian breakfast. There was no 'curfew' as there usually is in similar b&bs. The check-out time could be a little later, but I it's the same time for most B&Bs in the area.

Wonderful place to stay. Staff open th door with a smile when we walked in. The room was lovely very warm never felt cold. Bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and fresh. Will come back next year x
