Breakfast was awesome
Nice location, Friendly staff. The rooms were lovely, clean and large, bathroom was wonderful with a bath and a separate shower. Great furniture and features. Looking forward to going back
The room was clean and comfortable. The Inn was pleasant and relaxing. I had a lovely evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant.
No comfortable chairs in the room to relax in whilst reading. Difficult to see television whilst laying on the bed because of the bed frame.
Great food great room excellent staff
breakfast a bit small ,
The room was lovely, the food as well. The people who work there were fantastic, with a good sense of humor.
We liked our room - it was very comfortable and spacious with a nice view from our bedroom. The food we had was pleasant.
The facilities were more than adequate. Good hot water, comfy bed and awesome breakfast. The staff were wonderful and I will return when in the area.
Low roof between the bed and bathroom caught my wife out! Shower head went mad and water misses the bath in parts.
Location, atmosphere, food and room all very good indeed. Location for drives into New Forest was ideal. Would recommend to anyone.
The place looked lovely from the outside and it was lovely on the inside. Our rooms were very good, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was very good and it is very central for the new forest.
Breakfast was very good but the staff were very slow at serving us. We were not asked whether or not we wanted tea or coffee when we arrived at the table. She did not tell us where the buffet ingredients were and my friend asked for tomato and brown sauce and she had ate her breakfast before it came. We kept having to ask for things. No milk, butter etc. However the breakfast was great. Dinner the night before was slow in coming. We waited for about 3/4 hour before having just one course.
Very good ambience. Service in the restaurant was good although availability of some dishes was limited quite early in the evening.
Perfect location for southampton 10 min drive to mayflower theatre and shopping. great food both evening and breakfast with a plentiful tray of complimentary tea coffee and locally made chocolate in room. Huge comfortable room and bathroom. Friendly staff. Large car park. Good value for money.
Sound of footsteps from upstairs rooms in room below, Maybe from floorboards rather than carpets in upstairs rooms? Not much privacy in downstairs room as windows overlooking carpark. Neither negative enough to put off recommending this delightful hotel.
The pilgrim inn is friendly and has good pub food and was a quiet restful location
Would not expect it to be as peaceful at weekends
Breakfast and location between two roads
Room was very comfortable
Room could be better lit
For the money, good sized and very clean rooms
Road noise, quality of food, very limited breakfast options, staff
The room and staff were first class , would go again
Room. excellent facilities. Close to restaurant.
Evening meal choices. Limited. Breakfast poor. Staff at breakfast not attentive enough. Not professional.
Traditional look, location, pub/restaurant. Dinner was awesome.
Poor quality breakfast. The buffet table was almost empty and not refilled. .No yogurts or bread/rolls to choose from. . Very noisy in the room, can hear people walking around, using bathroom, talking ..mechanism closing room door. .certainly not grate.
The staff couldn't do enough for you, made you feel at home. Room large and clean.View from room lovely.
Food a little over priced but very tasty
The two building scheme (20 yds. apart) worked really well and was ideally placed close to but outside Southampton just in the New Forest. The pub was lively and busy with a good range of local and guest ales and excellent food. Myself and my eight year old son were made to feel very welcome. The rooms opposite were very quiet (triple glazed), very large and fitted out with top quality fixtures, fittings, beds and linen, good TV with a modern amount of channels, large choice of tea and coffee etc. and fresh milk and water. A large bathroom with modern high quality fittings, I expect the rooms will stay good for many years. The English breakfast was cooked individually and super fresh, should you wish for more than the continental option, and the staff were all very polite and helpful.
Wi-Fi in the room would have been an added bonus.
The staff were very helpful and friendly . Room very clean
Our room smelt of drains or sewers they said they were aware of it but could not find out why. In my opinion they should not use room until it is sorted. My daughter stayed in February and paid the same she had a lovely rooom
Warm welcome by staff and 'classy' feel of rooms. Great location between urban Southampton and attractions of the New Forest.
Large bedroom and very comfortable
Noisy road outside particularly if window is open which is required in Summer
