The bed was extremely comfortable - it made us realise we need a new bed at home!
A very nice hotel and pub. Well positioned and having great character The food was exceptional The service was very good and friendly The best breakfast i have had for a very long time Nice and quiet Great beer I am not put off by the poor bed and would recoemmend to others Only a 20 minute drive to the Southampton Port and local amenities
The bed was not very comfortable I think the support was poor which made the middle sag The mattress was possibly too soft The bedroom was also too hot
I like the room to join the pub not run between rain storms , we booked in at 6pm to be told no roast sold out , breakfast was cold as the room, there is much better value for money and better accommodation around than this, I will not stay again .
Poor lighting, could not read a book in bed.
Unfortunately there were problems with the television due to a lightening strike so not fair to comment
We liked the way you could just walk across the car park to the Restaurant and the food was excellent.
It was lovely and quiet even though close to busy road . Breakfast was very good . It was a very relaxing stay
The disabled seat In the shower room was rusty could do with replacing or painting Wifi could do with upgrading
Nice atmosphere in bar - let dog in.
Poor wi fi
Bed was very comfy we had a good nights sleep.
Portion size of the evening meal was on the small size considering the price. Although taste was good. No internet connection, if we had more time I would have spoken with staff about it.
Location was good and staff were friendly. Breakfast and evening meal were good.
Duvet was a winter one and the weather was warm so not a good nights sleep as to hot. Expensive for the standard in terms of comparision with other hotels and facilities.
the staff were all charming and very helpful
Good large room as descriped on site. Friendly staff Good food. A perfect stay close to the New Forest

the food was very good both at our evening meal and the following mornings breakfast
The room was very cold and the television did not work. on complaining it was reportedly down to a bad storm that had knocked out the electricity, phones and television in the surrounding area. the open fire gave off a lot of smoke which for someone who has a bad chest was not very pleasent and had to request being moved away from the fire in the middle of the room
Lovely hotel , close to ctc wings aviation where we were travelling to Friendly welcome .We would stay there agaimd and recommend to family amd friends
No problems at all.
We found the service here excellent with friendly staff who seemed concerned about all aspects of our stay particularly the (chatty) deputy manageress Helen. The food was very good and the rooms clean and comfortable.
Not something that I didn't like but it would have helped if the inn had been signposted from the main road as you have to turn off and go down a back road.
The decor was superb and room was clean and comfortable. Would come and stay agaim
Only the limited tv chanmels
At 5am on the morning of the day of our arrival, the Inn suffered a rain/wind storm, which took out their electrics in the kitchen and disabled their tills. Anita and her staff did a great job, managing to serve us a good 3 course evening meal and a good breakfast.
Good welcome, room loveley,we booked an evening meal excellent food, good friendly staff, goodnights sleep, breakfast you could have anything we wanted lovely started our holiday off well, looking forward to going again
Efforts of the staff
Hotel suffered a major flood and lightening strike on the morning of out arrival which caused problems in the kitchen, with the TV and the WiFi, but the staff were very helpful and made the stay as pleasant as possible.
The room was better then we were expecting the staff were friendly and the food was really nice
The TV didn't work
