Having a comfortable super king size bed. Good en suite bathroom. Overall a nice place to stay and relax.
The porter who showed us to our room did not offer to carry my partners suitcase. She was not impressed.
Staff nice and pleasant. Valley room very comfortable. Will recommend to others will definitely go again
Food was very good and nice friendly staff.
Warm reception from staff.Clean and comfortable through out. Good food would recommend The Pilgrim for a short or long stay
Loved the welcoming staff and the food, you could get hot food all day as well as afternoon tea. Breakfast was also of a very good standard. Staff very helpful providing information on the surrounding areas.
That they have changed the open fire for a gas fired one. Probably due to high insurance costs for open fires. A log fire in the bar would have been lovely.
Clean and tidy. Good bar area with good quality food. Not going to set the world on fire but a very nice quiet country hotel. Excellent value for money
Food was excellent and the staff very helpful. Lovely views across the local countryside.
Room got cold very quickly after heating went off but we were supplied with a heater which solved this problem.
Stayed at The Pilgrim many times and have always been very satisfied, this stay was no different, very friendly staff, spotlessly clean, lovely comfortable room, lovely food. thoroughly enjoyed it. Will be back
Leaving. One minor gripe, the cost of drinks
The hotel location is good and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, if not very hot. We had to turn the radiator nearest the bed off as it was suffocating in the room.
The fact that the thermostatic control on the radiator was broken so we could not turn it down, thus we had to leave the bathroom door open or it got too hot in there. Also the shower head was black with mould/mildew, there was also black mould on some of the tile grout. With this amount of mildew and the fact that quite of people must of used the shower before us there was a very nasty smell in the bathroom. Combine both the heat and the smell it wasn't very pleasant.
Stayed here a few times before staff are happy and helpful a nice clean quite and comfortable hotel with excellent food and lovely grounds
Friendly and helpful staff, on reception, in the bar and in the restaurant. Spacious room overlooking the valley.
Some aspects of the hotel are perhaps in need of updating but this is minor point and did not spoil a very enjoyable stay.
Nice room, helpful staff. We needed evening meal quickly & it was delivered in good time!
Room was noisy - could hear other guests shutting doors , walking in room above etc
Excellent hotel, friendly staff, comfy spacious and clean rooms. Fair value and excellent food. Will stay again.
No real dislikes.
Staff Food Homely & cosy Size of rooms
noise from upstairs bathroom a little 'tired'
Quiet location, comfortable rooms and excellent meals at the restaurant. Staff very helpful
Rooms were a bit hot and there is no fan or air conditioning in the rooms. Would assume this is only a problem on hot summer nights though.
Superb Location out of the city Excellent evening meal cooked to order. Friendly staff at all levels.
Small point -The sausages & bacon were tough - scrambled egg on toast was fine!
food location views staff
leaving could of stopped a bit longer
Comfy, good value.
Cheerless, indifferent staff. Microwave menu.
Size and cleanliness of room
Bed was very soft/uncomfortable and carpet in the restaurant near the conservatory was very badly stained
Location v good Staff were very accommodating
Were a few cobwebs in the bathroom Third time here and Wifi does not work properly - needs to be resolved
Liked the location, rural and quiet. The rooms were really nice and very clean. The staff were helpful, friendly and informative, top marks for this. The restaurant meals were very nice. Really enjoyed our stay there
It was hot the two nights we were there and a small fan in the room would have helped.
The staff, the rooms, the food, the views. It's position on the main road but far enough back not to be a problem. It was all excellent & would have no hesitation in recommend The Pilgrim Hotel.
Only negative was I got back from the local pub at 10.45pm & everything was in darkness & locked up. it was a bit worrying initially & had to ring a night number to be let in. Thought it was a bit early to be locked up.
Location to Hereford and views to Wales.
Problem with shower and dust on skirting board in room.
This was our 3rd visit to the Pilgrim hotel, we have always been well looked after. We have had a different room each time and cannot fault them. We always have a bit of fun here as our surname is the same as the hotel!
We have visited the Pilgrim on a number of occasions - we keep returning because we enjoy our visits.
We had room 2 which suited my wife's mobility difficulties well. The room was excellent in every respect other than lack of shelf space in bathroom!!. Please attend to surface of way out across the field.
