Again, the location and also the cosiness. Excellent breakfast (apart from the rather strange tea) and friendly bar. Despite being a small single room, it had everything for the guests comfort.
Can't think of anything
Friendly staff, great location, and good food.
Wi-fi was a bit flaky.
friendely staff very good value for money
Superb Hotel with a family run feel and really friendly and helpful staff.. I am planning a return visit in the new year
The warmth and comfort of the hotel
People moving above us with the floor creeking!
Great bed, room good size and location fantastic. Will be back next year definately
Bathroom a bit cold compared to room and shower hose was a bit grub, however the rest of the bathroom was lovely
Good location in central Canterbury Excellent breakfast
Car park was a little hard to find
Having changed hands the week we arrived things were a bit chaotic but managed to muddle through. Bathroom OK. Good heating to bedroom. Breakfast fine. Jessica in particular worked wonders and is a good example of how hotel staff should be - friendly, courteous and nothing too much trouble. Great location opposite theatre and 50 metres from High Street.Discounted car park tickets.
Room 3 was a bit small and dated. No bedside lamp or table on one side of bed so nothing to put watch, cup of tea or book on. Internet was down for most of our stay. Bottom sheet not smoothed out in mornings, just the duvet and pillows tidied!
No lounge Could not get meal in the evening No Christmas decorations In fact apart from the breakfast did not find anything to like about it.
Close to everything in Canterbury
Poor car parking
location was very central to Canterbury
car park is a reasonable distance away with big bags. The breakfast was poor
Food in restaurant was great and good value. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. Location was perfect.
Central location, close to shops, restaurants and theatre. Friendly staff.
location breakfast staff
Everything's was perfect! One of the loveliest hotel I've ever been.
Staff friendly and helpful with local information. Good breakfast.
Noisy at night from theatre audience across the road.
location tea and coffee in room bathroom great
The bed was high in centre and I felt like I was going to roll off at times
We loved the location and the restaurant/breakfast facilities but the rooms could do with a refurb and ensure to request a good room upstairs if you are staying for a special occasion. Can be noisy when situated close to the kitchen.
Other than the above it was great.
Location of the Hotel to the Shops and Cathedral. Staff were very efficient and polite, Choice of food, evening meal and breakfast excellent. Short walk to carpark.
No Famous grouse whiskey. (Just kidding) My wife and I had a great time, nothing to complain about. apart from poor WiFi. but did not deter our enjoyment.
It was my second visit location excellent
We picked this hotel because when we stayed before we had a wonderful roast dinner, ordered the same this visit it was not good been kept warm gravy was like glue complained they took 20% off the bill, also our room was cold no heating
Right in the centre of Canterbury. Easy parking nearby. Great value for money. Lovely four poster bedroom. Amazing breakfasts. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.
For an overstop or for a few days, can't go wrong, good check in, excellent location and very good value for money
I was in a single room and it was small, ok for an overnight, not for much longer.
Excellent central location nice helpful staff and WiFi worked well!
The bed was not really comfortable, new matras would be needed!
Excellent location and friendly staff who were very helpful. Really yummy breakfast.
Real squeeze by the side of the bath which would certainly not suit larger guests! Also I would suggest a curtain or fold back door for the shower as there is not much room to manoeuvre. Overall, though, not really complaining as it was so reasonably priced.
