Quality and cleanliness of the room, friendly staff

Very clean, room very comfortable and well equipped. Very quiet.

Surprisingly nice room for the money. Breakfast was excellent. Better than a lot more expensive hotels that we have stayed in recently.

Our room was above the dance floor, so we had to put up with extremely loud music / noise up until about midnight, however, this wouldn't bother me too much in future. We would stay out and only come back to the hotel when everything was winding down.

Friendly staff and excellent service

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable and surprisingly quiet. Plenty of parking. Good choice of food for breakfast.

This is old (600 years) stylish hotel with good restaurant and beautiful little garden. Restaurant is popular with local people, one is real good. Bed and full English breakfast cost only 50 GBP.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was of a very good standard. Room was very clean and comfortable.

Travelling back from the south of France-it was a 15 minute drive from the tunnel. A clean, big room (to take a baby cot and our dog) and decorated to a good standard. Enjoyed an excellent shower, a beautiful English breakfast with lovely staff. Def recommend this to family/friends and we will use again next year. Thank you!

I thought the hotel was brilliant!

Good breakfast. Nice surroundings. Easy parking. Had a dog with us, there was plenty of room to exercise her.

Noisy at night, people appeared to be moving about into the early hours of the morning. Thin walls and poor flooring didn´t enhance the situation. We were in transit on a long journey from northern Europe, with a sensitive dog, so maybe it wasn´t th right location for us.

Very friendly, very accommodating and welcoming to our dog too!! Would definitely stay again if ever in the area.

The location near to the Channel Tunnel was great, a 10 minute drive away for the morning drive to go over to France. The rooms were lovely, clean, spacious, comfortable, the bar area for drinks and the restaurant could not be faulted. The food was tasty, plentiful and breakfast was good. We had to leave before the main serving time for breakfast going to France but what the staff did lay on for us was plenty and well received.

There were no complaints. A good service and feel all round.

Bedroom with air condenser and air handling unit outside window. A bit noisy but as only staying one night not too much of a problem but would not have liked to have had to have the use of this room for any longer. Squeeky floorboards in bedroom and corridors.
