The Conningbrook Hotel  

Staff were really on top of the job and the locatoin was ideal for our purpose of an overnight stay pre channel tunnel crossing. The restaurant offers a typical pub menu and is good value. There is a large garden with childrens play area. Breakfast starts early and is served to you.We shall return.

ROOM 21 After booking in had to walk outside in wind and rain to access room, same in the morning to go for breakfast. The room above needs the floorboards fixing(which you already know about) as the quests above us were tramping arround at 4-30am and we could not get back to sleep atfer this time.When asked at breakfat if we had a good nights rest we replied NO to which the answer was "You must be in room 21 or 22"Having lost so much sleep this not set me up for the drive home,we too had to leave earlyish to go to a Funeral.Mid afternoon we had to go to bed as we were so tired.We visit family in Ashford on a regular basis and after this experience I doubt if I would return to your hotel. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Super comfy beds, corner bath, bar and restaurant underneath. Fantastic location in calm tranquil grounds.

We booked this last minute and it was brilliant value for money, very clean, tidy and friendly.

Paid a very small bit extra for the better room and it was great compared to the other rooms that I saw. Check-in & bar staff were very helpfull

Breakfast staff were slow and not very friendly

Easy access to Shuttle terminal. Dog friendly. Staff excellent and very helpful

Creaking floor above me!!

Very good overall, but little rough around the edges.

the rooms were not as clean as they could be, the paint was coming off of doors,skirtingboards ect.Mildew around the bath in my room and in my sisters room the shower ceiling was appalling.

-No grab rail in shower -Lack of service at breakfast and evening meal -Incorrect billing -Smallest 9oz steaks weve come across, id check with your meat supplier. -Cold rooms in morning -Ordered rose petals to be placed on bed....didnt happen

I arrived late and the staff were friendly and accomodating.

Room was a tad chilly, something I'm not normally bothered about but woke up cold.

Rooms are very nicely fitted, excellent breakfast, relatively close to freeway.

Ask for a 1st floor room. We stayed on the ground floor and could hear most everything the people above us were doing (including going to the bathroom). Fortunately they were not a honeymoon couple.

Staff who did their best to sort out our problem. The staff all round was very friendly. Dining facilities were quite nice.

The bed covers had blood on them so therefore we had to endure a move to another room which was very incovienant.

Good Size family room. Very clean hotel. Good location .

Waited 10 mins for breakfast table even though break room not busy.waiter then forgot we were waiting.tea/coffee Luke warm.asked for no tomatoes or beans on breakfast as have an allergy to both. Was ignored as breakfast arrived with beans. Told waiter and waited another 10 mins for breakfast plate to be returned. Same orig food but cold when returned. Didn't sleep as really noisy boiler in my room number 41 . Kids also did not sleep.

Location Food and friendly staff(except one at breakfast, I and other guests commented about her lack of friendliness, the blond one) All in all good value for money

The squeaky floor boards, but I guess that comes with an old building A house number would be handy for the tom tom. The street has about 300 large houses on either side, we typed in no 1, the hotel was closer to no 300

All staff were excellent Food was very good value

My room 21 was below a floor that creaked and the people using the space seemed to be walking around for most of the night!

Premises is kept clean and food is of a good standard.

Staff a little slow at keeping the breakfast bar stocked up.

Spa bath in room and lovely breakfast.

You could hear the people in the next room going to the toilet and regularly woken in the night when the flush was pulled. There was also a constant loud humming sound (like a fan) coming from somewhere!
