The rooms are varied and interesting in design. Nice homely feel. Nice breakfast.
We stayed in this hotel on 5 separate occasions during our trip to the UK. We were very happy with 4 of the rooms but the remote, ex cow shed room was extremely cold.
Room, bed, breakfast, gardens, price and staff.
Easy access to the M4 & A4. Very personal, not a big chain. Lovely grounds. Great hot breakfast! Excellent staff.
Shower unit ran hot, then cold. It was December, so very uncomfortable.
Basic range of facilities in room, tea/coffee, TV and en-suite. The rooms were a row of small chalets set to the rear of property, and you entered into the sleeping area, with sitting area and en-suite behind. This arrangement gave a feeling of space initially. Bed was nice and comfortable. Breakfast was well presented and tasty - full English.
TV in room was very small, as was the sitting area, situated behind the bedroom, and it was dark and uninviting.
Home from home
Fantastic place. Absolutely fantastic.
All the staff were very welcoming and friendly
We were a group of three and had the most beautiful huge room - very comfortable beds, clean - couldn't fault anything really. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Lovely big room. Excellent breakfast
Room was too hot.
Good WI fi reception in bedrooms. Pleasant staff. Good location.
I had Fish and Chips on my first night. Chips, salad peas fine, the fish was something else? Real problem finding with sat nav.
Most comfortable bed and pillows. Staff excellent, beautiful site.
Not the easiest to find, but worth it.
We arrived rather late and due to a SatNav mishap - arrived at the rear gates instead of the front gates. No matter, they were more than happy to open it and let us through. The staff were extremely friendly. It's quiet even though close to the M4. There's a Sainsbury close by and several pubs in the nearby village for food.
lovely room - comfortable bed, clean modern bathroom.
Room was lovely and bed very comfortable.Staff very pleasant.
Dinner took quite a while to be served and was overdone.Breakfast was a bit better
character of buildings/rooms, quality of breakfast, plenty of free car parking space
staff numbers appeared lacking at times - person serving breakfast also checked me out (whilst serving breakfast to other guests)
Self contained barn conversion with all facilities needed. Food was really good.
Its a quiet setting with well kept grounds. We were on a cycle tour across England and when we arrived the staff went out of their way to make sure we were able to clean of bikes and let us store them in the conference centre. We were given access to the washing facitlies to clean our clothes and the staff stayed up late to make sure we had what we needed. The room was beautiful and spacious, couldn't ask for better if it was twice the price! Breakfast was perfect! Would definitely stay again!
We only got to stay one night
We had the family room as we were traveling with our granddaughter. It was really nice and spacious. The grounds and country setting made for a very relaxing stay
Location good for me as adjacent to the site I am working on.
It's in a very odd position hidden behind an office and retail park. The place is very old and dated, in need of a serious spruce up.
- old but nice and large room - good restaurant and food
- location behind shopping center
Handy to motorway nice grounds good looking building
A little tired motorway noise, but not too bad
close to main road so easy to get to, lovely site and views, ample parking, staff friendly, good breakfast
it'd be easy to say the room spec/decor could do with updating and dinner potion bit more refined... HOWEVER... considering all round value for money those issues are minor and I'd certainly stay there again.
quirky, great value for a family room to sleep three. Alternate accommodation would insist on two rooms for a couple and 17 year old.
Quiet location. Helpful staff. Large bathroom.
Hotel close too the M4 & hotel quite country looking but needs modernising
Shower was v small & windows not the best gaps between them & if it had been cold u would of been cold but it was warm so I was ok
