Very easy to reach from the M6. Good breakfast. They accept dogs. We made 2 stops at this hotel. The first was on our way to Scotland to break up a 550 mile journey. This stop was ok. The hotel is a bit old looking and could do with some minor work but for what we paid it was fine. On the way back they had a wedding on in the evening and by talking to other guests the disco kept everyone awake until it finished at 12.30. It was not just faint music you could hear but really clear and quite noisy. We complained to the hotel and they gave us a £20 refund. Do not stay here if they have a function on. |

The only good thing was the bed was clean. The room was shabby, tired had cobwebs hanging from walls and chandelier. En suite was really small and tacky.it certainly hadnt been cleaned properly more like wiped round.the hotel just needs refurbishing.we didnt bother with food, couldnt face the thoughts of the kitchen |

My parents stayed at the hotel, they thought the food was good, apart from my mum's starter of garlic muchrooms was raw but hot. My dad loved his mixed grill. They both said that breakfast was brilliant. The garden outside could do with a good weeding and tidying up. |

the friendleness of the staff, the excellent service. the room could do with updating but was clean and comfortable. The hotel did'nt have a clear sign outside to say it was there it could do with a bigger sign but all in all it was adiquate. |

The room was big but quiet, the breakfast was good and we were able to keep the room for an hour longer than checkout. The hotel was tired. It still had smoking rooms and stale smoke smell was in the air. The decoration could have been 1970's and the whole place could do with modernising. |

Clean and functional The hotel is in desperate need of redecorating and refurbishment. It looks, feels and smells very worn. |

The staff were peasant and helpful, however the hotel itself was rather faded and tired looking. |

The comfort of our room including a very comfortable bed to sleep in, a big room with plenty of space and room having an ensuite. The decor was slightly dated but this definatly did not put us off our stay, and we shall return. |

The staff were most pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and the bedroom was clean. The mattress on the single bed in our room was lumpy and most uncomfortable. We mentioned this when we checked out. |

pleasant hotel with nice atmosphere. enjoyed the evening meal and fairly quiet too. The room had not been vacuumed, as you could see dirt on floor and the bathtub had not been cleaned. (there was grime and ring on it) |

I was a first time traveller to Scotland and decided to break journey at Carlisle. The receptionist's warmness erased my apprehensiveness about the hotel. Value for money and certainly the level of cleanliness was up to the mark. I would not hesitate to make a return visit to Pinegrove Hotel again. |
