A very enjoyable stay. Staff attentive but not overly. Would recommend to others.
Only one small thing. I requested fried egg at breakfast and was given scrambled. Didn't say anything as did not want to wait until it was changed. Still excellent though.
Lovely old fashioned hotel with foam mattress on bed. Lovely bfast good value for money.
We loved everything about it Warm, clean, food tasty and well presented staff brilliant What is there not to like?
This is an hotel we both enjoy and is our 3rd stay. We like everything about it. It is an old building with an annex. The service is excellent and staff friendly and well mannered. The dining room and lounge/ bar are cosy, especially the lounge with log burning fire and comfortable leather chairs. Fellow residents to chat or blether to were good company. We enjoy staying here with a very short drive or taxi ride to the Festival Theatre - okay 'luvies'
Just the usual 'hotel rate' hyper-inflated bar prices for Single Malts! Nice selection - if one feels indulgent...
The location of the hotel was great. Yes, it is up a hill which isn't ideal for all but we enjoyed the fact you felt away from it all at the hotel but were only a 10 minute walk down to Pitlochry. The room (in the annexe) was perfect, wished we had stayed another night! More like a suite, so much room and really felt luxurious- especially the bathroom. Breakfast was lovely. Lots of choice, friendly helpful staff and the table we sat at had nice views into the grounds.
If I had to be picky, the member of staff who showed me to the room did get lost so there was a little bit of walking back and forth in the rain! He was new so it was understandable. Also there was a digger doing work right outside our window. Wasn't too much of a problem as we were only there one night, but had it been a longer stay could have been a bit of a pain.
Over all hotel excellent staff very good. Would stay there again
Bathroom door did not lock Room with sloping ceilings Paintwork needed painting
This hotel is in a beautiful place, and it is just what one expects to find in a Scottish Hotel. The beds were very comfortable.
We arrived around 7pm. Asking if we could eat in-house, the woman said that we could and that we did not need a booking. What she did not tell us was that the kitchen closed at 8;30pm! By the time we had showered and unpacked, we arrived at the dining room at 8:30pm! No dinner. Also, I was asked if we would like a newspaper? Thinking my husband may like this I said, yes. What the woman didn't tell me was that this newspaper would appear on the bill and cost me 2:10gbp! Breakfast was a free-for-all and finding things wasn't easy. I did not appreciate the waiter laughing at me because I couldn't find a little jug of milk for my tea. This is a beautiful hotel but the staff (with the exception of one young man) are a real turn-off! Never again!
A lovely stately property with a gorgeous lounge and bar and exquisite gardens. Staff were lovely and helpful, and the property was well sign-posted up from the town
We were surprised there was no fridge in the room
attractive setting. public rooms elegant and comfortable
attitude of duty manager - no warmth or interest. toast and tea brought while I was still getting my cereal therefore both were cold by the time I wanted them
Location Food Service
Staff Food Accommodation Friendly atmosphere and care for guests.
Our second visit (bringing family along this time) proving our high rating the first time was not a fluke. Staff friendly attentive & helpful. Room clean & comfortable. Food (breakfast only this visit) - good menu selection, order taken promptly & served in good time still hot with good portions & enjoyable.
Our only fault this visit staying in room 27 was we couldn't have a shower the morning of departure as the drain in the bath must have been blocked and leaked back into the bath. At checkout we highlighted this to reception so it would be added to the maintenance sheet.
Homeliness of hotel Excellent facilities, excellent food spectacular surrounding scenery at this time of year.Good access to tourist attractions
Helpful staff, excellent meals, comfortable room and public rooms.
Bathroom needed a bit of scrub in the corners, location not for the infirm due to uphill journey from town.
spacious accommodation, interesting lounges, quiet location, quiet building, good breakfast
looking a bit tired in places
Dinner was excellent in quality, taste and quantity.
Everything it was excellent in all areas, room, food staff and location everyone was friendly overall excellent quality for the price. We have already booked for another stay and bringing friends with us, also recommended to all our friends and work collegues.
The food was very good in our half board package and the rooms were also good, especially the Deluxe. The grounds made it restful and there was a very good country pub - the Moulin Inn - nearby. We could easily walk into Pitlochry so the fact it is not on the main street was a plus.
We brought a young couple who are relatives from the US. There was a mix up over booked rooms - I booked them one and they booked one too. They missed the booking.com time to cancel as at that time neither of us knew the other had booked too many rooms. The hotel were within their rights not to refund but I was saddened that they were charged as my cousin didn't have money to waste on what was a trip of a lifetime and being American did not understand the rules.
Food and service was excellent. Hotel has great caricature.
Poor heating in room
Wonderful hotel in a wonderful location. Sits in many acres yet close to town. Service is impeccable! The nicest staff. Delicious food for both breakfast and dinner. I would love to spend a month there.
Excellent hotel, staff ,service and food second to none!!! We stayed in one of the Annexe rooms which was fantastic!!! Would highly recommend staying at The Pine Trees Hotel when visiting lovely Pitlochry!
Nothing to dislike!!!!
Pretty well every thing was of a very high standard. Staff were all polite and helpful. Rooms were very good and clean Location was fine for access to all amenities and town centre
Having to buy "The Times" Usually upmarket hotels supply newspapers
Great beds, interesting room, nice staff bar the first one you meet..
Barely concealed self indulgent contempt by receptionist. Needs customer service training. I will not use this hotel for my clients and will warn agents too.
We had the Annex room apart from the main building. Extremely clean lovely fresh smell. Good value for money. Lovely location and private. The bed gave us a lovely home from home sleep could not fault the facilities. Shower was excellent.. Very spacious Lovely large room and plenty relaxation space.
Room slightly too warm for us. Could only order sandwiches to eat later in the evening as the kitchen was closed. Staff not relaxed enough..poor selection of beers
