Always stop here because it's excellent
Just myself and my 5 year old twins. Made to feel instantly welcome the minute we arrived! The whole place was spotless. Stayed in room 4 an was surprised that we had 2 separate bedrooms! Beautifully decorated - bathroom excellent! Quiet as we at top of house! Breakfast in the morning was one of best ever had - all in all - faultless!!! Thankyou! Will definitely be back!!
Wasn't much choice on tv
Very clean and owners very welcoming. Were great with our kids aged 3 and 5 despite the youngest throwing a tantrum at breakfast!!!
Nothing at all
Didnt like the owner walking into our room without knocking and waiting till we answered
Owners were lovely, we were made to feel very welcome. Spotless throughout, comfy rooms and breakfast was fantastic.
Friendly hosts who made us Welcome without being overly attentive. Breakfast was perfect. Loads of fresh fruit and cereal plus full english. Room was clean tidy and comfy and was all that we needed. Lovely bathroom.
The room was too hot in the morning but to be fair the weather was dreadful with outside temperature of just above freezing. We turned the thermostat down but still had to open a window. That isnt really a negative though as it is a personal thing.
Cannot praise the owners Josie and Tim high enough. Made to feel welcome and relaxed from the moment we arrived. The perfect hosts with spotless facilities and well cooked tasty food. New Year's Day lunch was excellent spent with people in a relaxed and festive mood. Just another day would have been perfect. Thanks again and will see you again next year.
Only thing we did not like was the fact we could not stay longer
Location, the owners were friendly and accommodating. Nice and comfortable room.
Lovely guest house would recommend highly!
Very clean, excellent breakfast along with choices. Will defiantly be staying again.
Everything 100% spot on.
Breakfast was wholesome and filled you up to satisfy your hunger until Evening Meal Time. Had a ground floor room (Request Room 5) and was very grateful for that.
Got a parking ticket for parking with the permit not completed properly. Beware that you read the instructions very carefully. It was tipping it down when I got mine and had to dash to the car to put the permit in view of the yellow peril. However in my haste to not get to drenched I forgot to scratch off the dates of my stay. Easily done but not one bit of compassion from the enforcement person
Comfortable bed, very clean, gave children Halloween cakes and fruit for journey home, near to sea and the river, home made breakfast and lots of really fresh fruit, best museum ever in Pannett Park which was very close .
We had a lovely three night break. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were delicious with a great choice. We will definitely return. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.
The proprietors were very welcoming and friendly. Although the location was not in the centre of town, it was still a close walk to the train station, the Tourist Information Centre and the Old Area of the town. Someone with restricted mobility might find it too far to walk but my sister and I are older and we still managed very well. Our ensuite room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. We had a lovely stay here and I would readily recommend it to other travellers.
Although we did have free WiFi access I occasionally did difficulties connecting to it even though we were in the room right next to the modem. This may simply have been due to my iPad or perhaps the time (evenings) that I was trying to connect.
Really helpful proprietors and even though we had loft room everything was excellent. Especially the breakfast....
everything about it was first class
No in your face 'rules' or instructions Nice couple who run it Good cooked breakfast, especially liked thick toast and two slices each! ( It's amazing that so many B&B's skimp on bread, they don't here!) Gave us a parking permit that meant we could remain parked long after we checked out
No socket for the hairdryer near the mirror. Strange smell in the hallway, though not in the bedroom or breakfast room. Cereals were all cornflake type options, no muesli, Weetabix or other types of cereals.
Near the sea. Super breakfast (full English wasn't greasy in the slightest). Very welcoming and attentive hosts. Comfy room. Very clean. WiFi worked well.
Not much to dislike. Getting to sleep on the first night was a bit of a problem. (Duvet on, too hot. Duvet off, too cold). But then, this was VERY warm for September! be aware that the B&B is situated above Whitby. No problem for most people, but those with limited mobility need to be aware of the climbing up and down to the town.
We liked all about staying there. Tim and Josie are so very friendly they make you feel at home strait away. The breakfast was second to none so much fruit also a tasty cooked breakfast. The room was light and airy with views of the abbey.
Not a thing.
The staff are friendly and helpful. the food is excellent and the rooms comfortable.
location provided gluten free bread.
very small bedroom, small window with a view of the back yard, showerscreen leaked all over the floor, slip hazard. Bedside drawers had no stoppers and fell out on to my foot. Mirror not visible when drying hair. Not really worth £84 a night.
