Safe, off road parking, around back of hotel. Great bar, cheap pints and huge screen. All staff, owners/managers and cleaners were very friendly and informative. I felt I could buy a take-away and eat it with a pint in the bar if I wanted to. Bar got busy on evenings with others staying in the hotel. Hotel appeared to be fully booked (NO VACANCY sign in window), but it was still quiet.

Comfortable nice clean rooms, evening meals enjoyable and good value for money, staff very friendly and accommodating for kids, breakfast was disappointing...over cooked dry sausages, fried eggs left under the heat to dry out, and soggy mushrooms. Not worth the £10 at all.

We visited Belton House (NT), which was 3 or 4 miles on local roads, and has superb gardens and excellent facilities as well as the stately home. Boundary Mill stores are nearby for shopping lovers. We didn't visit Marston village centre, but it looked promising for a future trip.

Our room was very expensive and was dated in 1980 style peach and blue outside was a dumping ground. At 2 in the morning the pipes made a clanking noise. Wedding guests were scattered all over the hotel which was inconvenient. Room was also very hot
