reception staff were excellent
Unclean, could hear the people talking in rooms next door and they wasn't talking loudly
perfect location for local water ski club.
Did not like walking upstairs and then downstairs to get to our room
The whole place. Gave a. Lovely feel to each visitor staff were friendly could not do Enough to help you Internet was. Fantastic
The ambience, parking facilities and layout.
Stayed here for first time. Rooms very spacious and clean. Provided with a room very suitable for a person with walking difficulties. Food very good. In area to attend a funeral. Staff could not have been more supportive and helpful Thank you
The restaurant was very nice, with attractive seating in a glassed in atrium area on the garden side of the building. The food was good and the service pleasant.
The lodging wind of the hotel was a bit motel-like and sterile.
Staff were all very friendly.
Lack of lift to upper floor in old part of building. Having gone up a flight of stairs, with 2 suitcases, we had to then go down another set of stairs to get to our bedroom! Corridor very narrow, stale smell coming from housekeeping/linen cupboard. Smoking area for bar/restaurant was a perspex bus shelter type structure situated close to our bedroom window. It was noisy with people going out to smoke until after midnight.
Very comfortable and excellent food, also reasonably priced
Everything. Will always stay in this hotel whenever i am in the locality. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Very comfortable room, clean, good food and excellent , friendly staff.
Food is excellent wish i was younger to enjoy the normal portions. Never tire of the view from the breakfast room overlooking the garden. The staff are friendly and helpful
Lack of anti-slip mat in bath Soap dispenser in bath, if one slips it could cause injury, particulary with frail guest.. Suggest soap is preferable
quiet room comfortable bed excellent service. good breakfast nice dining room pleasant gardens nice wooded setting friendly staff excellent service good value for money
Wee bit dated
quaint, throwback hotel
Staff was not very friendly or efficient Stairway to room narrow, very old carpeting. Our room faced the kitchen vent.
The beds,the large rooms,the facility's ,the reception
The hotel itself was fine, a little bit away from the (quiet) main street so there was no traffic noise at all. Rooms were clean and had everything one needs. Front Desk staff was absolutely great. They were very warm, friendly and provided excellent services and advise for how to get around.
The whole hotel -but especially the rooms- had an intense air-refreshener / cleaning agent smell (to a disgusting degree) . Opening the windows helped only a little bit as they seem to spray this stuff around everythere in the hotel. If you have a problem with intense cleaing agent smell (or any other intense smell) don't stay here.
The place was very convenient. I arrived late and left early. There a 24 h person at desk which was great.
The internet was not working great.
I have stayed here previously and I enjoyed everything, but on my last visit I enjoyed everything bar one.
I was kept awake by a couple who talked until 2.30am (loudly) and then decided to make love. i didnt get to sleep until 2.31am.
service very welcoming & friendly, lovely meal, nice surroundings & gardens
poor shower, outlook from bedroom not good, looking on to extractor fans which were noisy
Easy to find. Easy to park. Friendly helpful staff. Well specced room. Wifi worked easily. Good food via room service. Well kept beer at the bar. Couldn't find anything to complain about, which is unusual for me and good for them!
Was close to where our relatives 50rh wedding anniversary held...nice facilities, bar, restaurant etc
Breakfast far too expensive at £11.25 per head...
The family room was perfect for us as we have 2 older teenage children, it was very spacious. For someone like me who doesn't sleep much the beds were the best I've slept in I actually slept well, they were so comfortable. We stay in a lot of hotels due to our kids sport and travelling although this was a higher price range than usual it was luxiourious accomadation and part of our holiday and was exactly that luxury. Would defiantly recommended and loved to stay again. The staff at the desk were very helpful and gave us all the information we needed on how to get in to Glasgow and printed of bus routes etc for us. We didn't eat there but that was down to being out and about during the day but was soo relaxing at night as it as nice and quiet. The garden was beautiful. So huge thumbs up!!!
The people were very welcoming
Room was very small. I know it was a single but nonetheless.
