Very nice rooms, excellent breakfast, and you cannot wish for more friendly people.

My first choice when in the area. Very friendly and extremely helpful owners. Accomodation excellent, very comfortable, spacious and spotless. Breakfasts delicious and plenty of it. I would highly recommend.

Food Owners

Absolutely fantastic B&B, could not have wished for better! Jim and Liz were wonderful hosts, so welcoming and friendly. My room was quiet, cosy and spotless, and the breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. Great location - there's a very handy bus stop round the corner to take you straight to Edinburgh, or it's only a 15 min walk to the train station. Do yourself a favour and stay here! I'll be back!

The hosts Jim and Liz couldn't do enough to make me - as a single traveller - feel welcome. The breakfast was superb and their hospitality was second to none. Loved the little touches such as the couple of chocolates, pack of balsam tissues, cotton wool and cotton buds, decent shower gel and liquid soap. Nothing to fault them - i would return in an instant

Excellent accomnodation. Spacious, spotlessly clean and nicely appointed rooms. Many little touches that really make a difference.The breakfast room is a delight and the breakfast choices Jim & Liz are wonderful, friendly hosts happy to help make your stay more comfortable in any way they can. We highly recommend Pitreavie Guesthouse.

Room was large. Decor was modern and it was very clean. Breakfast was fantastic. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Made very welcome by Jim on arrival. Felt very comfortable from the start. Lovely house, comfortable room and terrific breakfast. We were only passing through Dunfermline but will be going back for extended stay and definitely staying at Pitreavie. Felt we made new friends in Liz and Jim and would recommend guest house without hesitation.

The breakfast was excellent. They take your order and cook fresh for each person. The room was well appointed and perfect for our needs. The owners make you feel as though you are at a 'home from home.'

Dunfermline is a little town within an easy bus ride of Edinburgh. Pitreavie Guest House is amazing. Clean, quiet, comfortable & the hosts, Jim & Liz, are lovely people - kind & helpful. A great place to stay.

Excellent b&b with very warm and friendly holders. Excellent breakfast cooked and self-service. Wonderful and tidy rooms and garden. Holders are glad to give you all informations about Dumferline, restaurants in the town and trains or buses to Edinburgh. You can go by foot to the train station in 15 minutes where train take you to Edimburgh in 35 minutes. You are 30 minutes away from Edimburgh by car, but train is the cheapest way to go to Edimburgh center.

Liz and Jim are wonderful hosts. They make you feel like being home away from home. We had a spacy and well equipped room and a large comfortable bed. The traditional Scottish breakfast served on this lovingly decorated breakfast table was a highlight we looked forward to on both days of our stay. And last but not least is the close location to the Edinburgh Airport (20 min. by car) another good reason to revisit Pitreavie guest house on our next trip to Scotland.

Loved everything. Most gorgeous garden outside, fantastic decor inside in all the rooms and amazing amazing breakfast cooked in the mornings by the couple who run it. They are so friendly and great to chat to - first visit to Scotland and they made an amazing impression and really cared about all guests. Definitely coming back. Went over for the Fringe and hired a car but didn't need it - There's a bus literally outside to get to Edinburgh etc easily and heaps of local shops in walking distance.

We stopped in on our way to the Highlands, so we only stayed one night. As it was raining, we didn't make the most of what is on offer, but did walk up to the city and look at the church and gardens. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Our breakfast was delicious, and our hosts were lovely. I would recommend Pitreavie Guest House.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Very well maintained and modern room. A bit small, but it was only the single after all. Excellent food! Will visit there again!
