The couple who ran the B & B were wonderful and really made us feel at home. The price was very reasonable and the location was good for getting out and doing some good walks.

This B & B was very good and would highly recommend. The owners were very helpful and attentive to our needs. Breakfast was brilliant-there was Gluten Free bread and also cereals which was a bonus. Excellent.

What was not to like!! All excellent.

We had a super weekend break at Plantation Cottage!! The owners were very welcoming and recomended some great places to visit in the local area. Our room was superb with a good sized bathroom, dressing room, bedroom area and a super view looking out in to the garden.

Everything! From arriving we were greeted by the owners, our room was lovely with a corner bath, breakfast served at convenient time to yourself. The whole place was beautiful did not want to leave! Thank you so much, we will return here without a doubt.

Location was great - close to Lakes, Kendal, Windermere and other places we wanted to visit. Breakfast was lovely and cooked to your specific request - there was plenty of it too. Room was cosy and clean with plenty storage space and a seperate dressing area.

Lovely family home in a beautiful location. Excellent accomodation and food.

This is a friendly and well run, elegant house in pleasant grounds. Hamish, the thoroughbred, is an added attraction.

Please take this as a suggestion rather than a criticism; the breakfast was good, but could perhaps have been even better had a slightly more ambitious brand of marmalade been offered at breakfast.

A beautiful cottage in the most peaceful of settings. Our hosts were extremely helpful, even an early breakfast was not a problem. The breakfast was superb. Our room was spotless and the corner bath very welcoming at the end of a long day. We wouldn't hesitate to return to the plantation cottage when we stay in the area again.

We loved the cottage. The rooms were excellent and very comfortable and our host Maxine was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent too....and not forgetting Hamish the horse!
