The most popular Wales seaside resort, Llandudno covers a peninsula with 2 sandy coastlines. The North Shore’s wide Victorian promenade is lined with period buildings which now house seafront hotels and guest houses. The beach itself stretches all the way between the Little Orme and Great Orme headlands, passing an outdoor swimming pool.
A historic tram climbs to the peak of Great Orme, where Bronze Age copper mines can be visited. The top is also reachable by cable car from Happy Valley, a recreation area with gardens and an artificial ski slope.
A road runs around the base of the headland passing the historic Grand Hotel, a property available on Booking.com and overlooking the Grade II-listed pier – the longest in Wales. The West Shore is much less developed and the Maesdu Golf Course forms most of its shoreline.
Of course, Llandudno has its fair share of traditional seaside pursuits such as donkey rides and fish and chip shops.
The town also has a modern retail park near the train station and Venue Cymru event centre, and wrought-iron canopies shade smaller shops along Mostyn Avenue, Broadway and Street. The latter - Mostyn Street - is effectively the high street and becomes brightly decorated during the Victorian carnival in May.
The staff where excellent, but facilities where few.

I would definitely not advise disabled people to use it. The stairs at the front entrance are lethal plus they only had WiFi in certain parts of the hotel, usually near reception. Nothing in the rooms. There was no entertainment till the summer. The hotel itself was very comfortable but these little things spoiled our stay.

Llandudno wasn't our first choice but that's where we ended up going and on arrival immediately felt it was a good choice. The long sweeping sea front, plenty of shops, bars and cafes. It still holds on to its charm of yesteryear. The pier and tram ride up the Orme are popular. A good range of accommodation to suit most pockets. Could happily have stayed longer than our 3 nights and would happily visit again.

I love walking up the Great Orme, its tough going but the views are amazing,
The town has plenty of choice for bars and restaurants, LCs Bar, Fountain Bar, The Mediterranean Restaurant, The Taverna, The Casanova, The Cottage Loaf, to name a few. The town is also clean and has a good choice of shops...The Range, River Island, Primark, Marks and Spencers all within walking distance from main street.

I love Llandudno.
I love Llandudno. The North beach is touristy, with hotels and the pier. The West beach is not touristy at all. They are close, so visitors can easily take their pick or do both.
The Great Orme is one of the best places to go with far-reaching views. We love it up there.
The town itself has lovely wide streets with plenty of free parking. It is flat and easy to walk around. There are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants.

Scenery is beautiful with lots to do and Chester zoo isn’t too far way plus there’s the pier lots of shops nearby and the tram ride to the top of the Great Orme and the copper mines. 🙂
We ate in our hotel and there’s not much I would avoid except to say be careful if you drive up to the top of the great Orme as the roads are narrow and a bit treacherous if you have to reverse to let another vehicle past ☹️
Booked the Headlands on the return leg of our Scottish trip as we had never visited Llandudno before, generally we prefer hotels with "character" and it certainly has buckets of that, our room had super high ceilings with full length drapes and a view of the sea. Facilities were good and we used the small but cosy bar in the evening, breakfast was also good and we were surprised at the number of people staying there as it was quiet at night. The Pier, Cable Car and Seafront is a short walk away if your fit.
The location was excellent being right in the center of the promenade. The old buildings are so beautiful on the outside. Unfortunately with historic old Victorian buildings like this, looked like ALL the hotels were also very old on the inside. Being in the bar area was where I preferred to be with the exquisite sea views. The shower was excellent. Definitely appreciated a modern shower. Also, the beds were quite comfortable. It was a nice big, space for the 2 adult parents & 18 year old son.
Amazing location right next to the sea. Perfect for me as a mum traveling with two small ones. We can be on the beach and back in seconds! Lovely enclosed garden was a bonus as I could watch them from inside the property at all times if I needed to pop inside. 7 minute drive to centre of Llandudno. On a good bus route also. Beautiful beach.
The owners were really nice. The hotel is ideally situated for the centre of Llandudno. Our room was a en suite room and had TV, tea/coffee in the room. Plenty of space with a large double bed. The breakfast was incredibly good (full Welsh) and kept us going all day. Probably one of the best we've had. We would definitely come back again.
Snooze is 1st. Class !! The breakfast is second to none, the room was big spotless and very comfortable, dinner was delicious and the service, thanks to Brian was as good if not better than that which we have had in 5 star hotels we have stayed in. Over all we would thoroughly recommend Snooze as a place to stay in Llandudno well done !!!
The Grand Hotel is, perhaps, a little faded but is, at the moment being refurbished and from what I saw it will be much improved. The location is excellent very close to the pier and Llandudno town centre.
The food was good considering the cost, though I would suggest that the Grand seek another suplier of their breakfast sausages.
Everything staff were amazing ,food absolutely gorgeous.Hotel is so friendly ,beautiful room ,with a lovely sea view .Definitely will be returning to the hotel .Made our Valentine ,and my partner’s birthday ,a wonderful 3 day break .This is a most definite hotel to stay at ,whilst in beautiful Llandudno .
Room was very clean and cleaned daily during our 3 night stay, location great, dog friendly, free parking outside was an important factor when considering the hotel. We did meet the cleaning staff when passing who were absolutely super, very friendly. Check in was quick, beds very comfortable.

Small hotel on the seafront on Llandudno. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The room rate included a lovely continental breakfast overlooking the sea. Communication during reservation and prior to check in was very friendly and efficient.
having a big vehicle we always have to find hotels with parking and this has plenty . 5 mins to walk into main area of Llandudno. Bobby the host could not have been more helpful or friendly . clean room , great breakfast , would stay there again
Excellent service, we go there every couple of months and they are making so many improvements. If you ask staff they will help as much as they can. You can't beat the location of the hotel to see all the view of the sea.
