We arrived late in the afternoon, with our reservation confirmation in hand, and there was nobody there. We left a note on the door and went to town for dinner. After dinner, we called the contact number, and the woman told us she had received no reservation from booking.com. Although we could use our credit card to book the room, she insists on cash payment. We were looking forward to having a little relaxation time in a country setting, with a sumptuous breakfast. Instead, we got to bed late, because we couldn't get in until late. There was no breakfast, so the hostess agreed to take 20 pounds off the room price. Booking.com investigated and says that our reservation, which was made in January, was forwarded to Plas y Dderwen. The location is far from places to eat, and it was dark by the time we headed back. We got lost and went back to the pub to get help. I would recommend the room, because the setting is really beautiful. Just make sure to contact the hostess before your trip, to make sure she knows you are coming. It was something of a letdown for us.
The room, when we finally got in, was very pleasant. It was really more like a studio apartment. The bathroom was brand new and the shower had wonderful water pressure. It was very clean and there were coffee and tea supplies for us.
