We enjoyed the staff's help with arranging for a move to another room - no bother and the room we changed to was excellent - we even got a bottle of champagne for the first room having a fault. Excellent and would stay again.

We picked this at random from Booking.com and could not have been happier. Stayed 10th Apr. Room was enormous compared to most England B&B's with a lounge and desk area as well. The accommodation is seperate from the hotel so it is quiet and private plus has parking outside the door. Food, drinks, service and garden surrounds were great although I would advise booking early for meals as it seems to be very popular with locals. Breakfasts were great also with good service. Easy to find as its on the main road and well signposted. A short walk and you are in the main part of Abergavenny.

For me Brains beer was a huge plus. Living in the South East we only occasionally get the amber nectar! Hotel staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was excellent (although no black pudding!!)

A quite location very comfortable with good amenaties except mobile phone contact. The hotel is in a dead area so you have to go into the car park to seek a signal.

The room we had was nice and big and generally in good decorative order. We were surprised the accommodation was in a pub as the information didn't suggest it, but having said that the pub served very good food and was fairly well situated for the local town and for driving to the brecon beacons for walking etc. When I booked the accommodation from your website I did think it would be nearer than it was to the centre of the brecon beacons, we still had a 20 mile drive to the main mountain centre, so perhaps abit more information would be useful.

The room was clean and tidy and away from the pub so very quiet. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The manager could not do enough to make us welcome and we definately would stay there again.

We loved our room in the annex, very large, comfortable and clean, equivalent to 4 star hotel. We were celebrating a birthday, so this was important to us. The main building was cosy. Very easy to find and close to town. The full Welsh breakfast was excellent, proper thick bacon and sausage. The restaurant food didn't quite measure up to what the menu promised (dinner)
