The hotel is in a good location for getting to the city centre. It also has free parking which is a bonus as some city centre hotels are expensive to park at. Hotel was dated and facilities were basic. There was a noisy private party downstairs when we were there until 12.30am which staff did not tell us about when we checked in. |

Good location. Good service. Free car park. Close to town centre. Clean room. Room and hotel common areas are extremely dated and need desperate drag into the modern day contemporary hotel look that people are now becoming to expect. |

It was located close to the International Convention Centre and it was quiet because it was not busy. You could park outside the front door in a secure car park and there was no charge for parking. Breakfast was efficient and good value for money. The reception and dinning areas are pleasant and characterful. My room was in a large modern extension behind the characterful main building and reminded me of my university dormitory, basic but functional. The room was clean but the furniture was in very poor condition. The lighting in the room was poor, and it was very dark. It was a long walk from reception to the room. Internet access was available only in the common areas and not in the rooms and only by using BTOpenzone. The TV reception was poor. |

Location Rooms can be difficult to get to as most are in the new part of the building. Many doors and stairs so you really do struggle with your bags. |

The room was spacious and clean, however i could hear conversations and toilet noises through the vent in the bathroom, not pleasant! No lifts, a long trek up several stairs and long corridors to our room. The bar staff when in the middle of serving me were interupted more than once by members of a wedding party and dealt with their request before continuing to serve me, this happened several times. Room service charge for breakfast was excessive. |

Initial impression was very good, smart reception area reasonable restaurant, safe parking. The route march to our room, the windows in the room might as well have been frosted, nothing could be seen through them, they appeared to be covered in tree sap or some such that had created an almost whitewashed appearance, the peeling wallpaper in the left corner of the window frame, and finally no lift!! Room 212. |

Pleasant staff, excellent location, good parking. The hotel was very nice but traditional our stay was spoiled by the double glazed window being cloudy so we could not see out of it and the area around the window had black mould and some cob webs. Hotel generally could do to be modernised whilst still retaining the original features |

The site of the hotel is relatively peaceful considering its proximity to the city centre. The hotel itself is very spacious. Car parking provision is ample and secure. Reception staff were efficient but impersonal. The soft furnishings and decor of corridors and bedrooms are a bit down at heel. It is need of a facelift |
