Pleasant staff, excellent location, good parking. The hotel was very nice but traditional our stay was spoiled by the double glazed window being cloudy so we could not see out of it and the area around the window had black mould and some cob webs. Hotel generally could do to be modernised whilst still retaining the original features |

The site of the hotel is relatively peaceful considering its proximity to the city centre. The hotel itself is very spacious. Car parking provision is ample and secure. Reception staff were efficient but impersonal. The soft furnishings and decor of corridors and bedrooms are a bit down at heel. It is need of a facelift |

the hotel has wonderful character throughout. the building, the decor, the room, fantastc. the bathroom was poor, not clean and very dated. the reception staff (all 4 of them across both days) need replacing, there is nothing worse than being made to feel that thier personal lives are far more important than the service they are providing for the guests. |

Very good sized room and bathroom facilities. Traditional hotel in a city centre location. Car park barrier broke down ..... delaying my departure a little. Staff soon fixed the problem though. |

I didn't think that the directions to the room that I was staying in were very well signposted as the corridors were a bit confusing. |

The staff were very helpfull in finding a room for a fururre visit with less walking involved as I have some difficulty. They even showed me the furue room and made sure that I knew a member of staff could help if needed. |

The hotel had a relaxred atmosphere and the staff were respectful. The price of breakfast (£19.95) meant I left the hotel without having any. I wanted only toast cereal and tea - thats all. I have paid much less at 4 & 5 star hotels. I would recommend - with a breakfast warning! |

Nothing really very poor service and facilities, Staff very unhelpful and more bothered about eating thier dinner (at Reception) than serving the guests. Most things really, room very poor and very dirty, very dated and showing considerable signs of wear. Too late to change to another hotel or we would have done so. |
