The rom was perfectly clean and comfortable and close to where we had to get to. (drayton manor park). The staff were helpfull the television was not fixed properly to the bracket and could have fallen. The television was unusable anyway because the remote control had no batteries in it.

From when I first turned up to when I left, all of the staff were welcoming and friendly. There was a choice of bars to suit the type of company (quiet or lively) and I felt relaxed and comfortable during my stay. If a chair could be provided to sit while working on a laptop, everything would have been complete.

Without a doubt the room was the worse room we have ever stayed in. When I went to complain the manager already knew what room we had been alocated and what the complaint was. They should not be allowed to use rooms of such a bad standard let alone charge for them.

One of the female staff tried hard to make up for the terrible rooms, and gave us a nice courtesy breakfast and offered to lend me her hairdryer when the hotel had none for customers, The central gas heating was on at full bore all night - there was no way to adjust it and the timer was set to 24hours !!! the room was absolutely suffocating. Coupled with the fact that the beds are like prison beds - metal headboards, metal springs at the top surface of the very thin mattress. Very wobbly bed it screeched loudly every time you moved so as it was so also uncomfortable I moved the mattress onto the floor, a slight improvement but didn't sleep really all night. Probably the worst nights sleep I have ever had in my life, and that includes being in hospital and travelling through asia!!!!

Very good service from staff, I had forgotten the charger for my iphone and as a long shot asked a member of staff if there was a spare charger I could use. He immediately went into the bar area anf brought one up to my room. Also I needed a packed lunch for the following day, this was also brought up to my room by the same member of staff. It was a small single room, perfectly adequate and clean, I could have done with a chair though do sit on whilst working at the dressing table. As it was I sat on the bed.

Stayed while it was snowing but the room was comfy and cosy. Nice and clean with friendly staff The facilities weren't brilliant. I wasn't expecting luxury, but the bathroom light didn't work properly, the toilet didn't flush properly and the shower door wouldn't shut.

Nice decor No curtains in bedroom - too much light from window to sleep. Been nice to be asked what I would like for breakfast rather than just given it.

Nice downstairs bar/restaurant area, plenty of parking, ambience. Horrendous ancient bed, heavily dipped in middle, base obviously needed replacement. Most unpleasant to sleep in. Not what you expect to find. Poor!!
