Lighting in the room very poor No mirror light in the bathroom No power point at the desk in the room. Had to disconnect my laptop and the television to boil the kettle. No in-room WIFI Bar food was disappointing - everything was served with chips

Helpful staff upgraded my room to a none smoking room. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. Plenty to eat for breakfast which was of reasonable quality.

High windows in the bedroom and poolry decorated. The room still had a strong smell of tobaco smoke. There was a lot of mold in the bathroom around the shower and bath.

The size of the room, bathroom. Breakfast was superb. The staff were great. Made us very welcome.

Liked it all.

Skylight in room 9 had no blind Cold tap in shower didn't work.

The breakfast was very nice.

The window did not close properly and it was very noisy from the busy road straight outside our window.

Its an independant hotel, i hate the chain hotel. it was clean and excellent value for money

Big spacious rooms, lovely bathroom, nice bed, good central location

Minor issue: TV too small for room, bed was one end tv the other and was only around a 19"tv couldnt see it very well from bed. Major issue: the only two members of staff I spoke to, one had a foul mouth and not very approachable, the other spoke to me and my partner like dirt. I did actualy have a go at the bloke.. but not a very good track record for ignorant staff.

Very convenient location for city centre and railway station, good sized room, very clean and comfortable and at a good price.

A bit noisy but too much of a problem, no elevator would be the only complaint

The fact that there was a considerable difference in size and quality between my room and that of my companion despite the prices of both rooms being the exactly same.

We would have had the perfect stay if the tv had been a decent size .really was stupid considering the room size ..I for 1 couldnt see what was on the screen ...and because we spent quite a bit of time in the hotel we wern't happy...that would be our only reason for not returning other than that hotel perfect...we heard other people had the same complaint ........I would recommend but only if you got bigger tv's

My room was comfortable and staff were very friendly and helpful, the Plough is in a great location for Bars and clubs 3 minute walk up the road.Parking was free too which was a nice bonus.Also breakfast was lovely stay in the center area for a great time would be my advice.

I rented two rooms last weekend. Room14 fantastic spacious clean modern and very good value for the 65.00 I paid b&b with my wife. My daughter had room 2 what an absolute dirty small noisy with mould ridden bathroom room that was. Charged 55.00 for single occupancy b&b I feel ripped off and will not stay there again. We stay in Northampton regularly so it's back to ibis for us. Sorry and such a shame. Ps fabulous breakfast

Dirty room poor value for money unless you are fortunate enough to get a refurbished room. Room 2 should not be let out!!! Loved room 14 and would stay in that again.
