Staff were all very nice, friendly and helpful Food was quite good Good shower Attractive bathroom
Tea tray so far from socket kettle had to be boiled on floor TV so low could only be seen from 1 side of the bed Appalling coffee after evening meal 1 Bedside light only – huge minus for us
Owner & staff so friendly and helpful, dogs welcomed just a brilliant atmosphere.
Genuinely cant think of anything I didn't like.
Quiet and off the beaten track a gem of a place. Lovely clean rooms, fabulous food, made to feel very welcome. Huge breakfast freshly cooked with lots of choice. Very dog friendly.
Bar was busy and noisy when we arrived so not sure at first but everything was just fine.
Friendly welcome and good food
The views and the remoteness. The drive to get to it was the highlight of everything ive ever seen in England. Huge room and bathroom with a bath. Bed was super comfortable. Wish we had more time to spend there.
Very homely, made to feel very welcome. Meals superb.
A bit dated.
loved the food and the staff were really friendly. Enjoyed our stay and will be back.
We enjoyed the friendly welcome, and several good meals. The rooms were spacious and attractive. The location is amazing so near to the coast by car but inland here the countryside is beautiful. Lovely twin villages to walk about.
Old country inn.The food was plentiful and tasty. We had plenty of space. It was right on our route which was why we chose it. The young staff welcomed us warmly. The beds were clean and comfy.
Little moan -No hangers , not even a peg on the back of the door. Hotel has been taken over recently and there is unfinished work. Slightly shabby and doubles as village local so don't expect posh. Paint the front door it would give a much better impression!
..after walking all day on St Cuthbert's Way, it was a relief to find a lovely pub with comfortable room upstairs. Friendly service, wifi, real ale, good food. Nice people!
I was walking the St Cuthberts Way and stayed one night. extremely friendly staff and this was complemented by fantastic food and wine. locals in the pub very friendly as well. bedroom was large, comfortable. would definitely stay again.
Location. Friendliness. Beer. Food.
Very friendly and helpful people The facilities were just what you would expect from an old pub. Great meals.
Our room had a mirror above the fireplace which was rather high so had to dry my hair balanced on a chair. Kind of added to the fun!
Location and staff very friendly, pleasant and courteous.
Could have done with back ground music in restaurant; rather quiet.
cosy atmosphere, willing service comfortable room. We will definitely return soon
wine 'list' was a little short - only one type of red wine. I enjoy rice, but there was no meal on the menu which included rice
Very friendly staff. Very impressed with evening meal. Good breakfast.
this was our third visit and our first with new owners - we always enjoy our visit at the Plough-it is so quiet and comfortable - food is very very good - breakfast is cooked fresh - will be going back very soon.
phone signal maybe but hey who needs a phone anyway
large bedroom, ensuite large
Warm welcome, friendly staff. Superb food. Competitively priced. Excellent central heating.
Breakfast was very good. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was comfortable. Lovely village and the bar. Met all our expectations of have B&B in a local pub in a small village.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble! Excellent food. Lovely atmosphere. This was my second visit to this pub/B&B and I do not go back to places that are inadequate!, friendly locals and friendly staff.
Single bed could have been a bit softer.
Really liked the village. Relaxed atmosphere, good food, large room and bathroom
We booked 2 rooms-2 couples-and in 1 the shower didn't work. If you want an early night don't stay here-our rooms were above the pub and it was very noisy till about midnight! If you're happy to stay in the pub till closing then ideal!
Very dog friendly!
Room was very hot. Couldn't work the shower.
Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble to help. Food very good at competative prices.
Rooms could be improved by improving quality of fittings i.e toilet seat not very stable. Also in need of a tradesmans attention as finishes are very d.i.y. mainly carpentry and tiling
A nice friendly atmosphere
