Very clean room with bedding and bathroom was perfect with every little detail. Just needed to remember to shut curtains as no frosted glass in window.
Furniture arrangement, dessert.
friendly staff,great location.good food.
ALL BREAKFASTS, DINNING AT EVENINGS ALL AT A REASONABLE PRICE. ALSO VERY CLEAN AND ALL STAFF WERE EXCELLENT
VERY FRIENDLY STAFF, ROOMS VERY CLEAN AND THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS.
Lovely room, good bathroom facilities, friendly staff
A nice no nonsense place to stay . What it lacks in frills it makes up for in the important factors. It is clean comfortable and friendly. The breakfasts are very good and the staff pleasant and helpful . We will stay there next year when we go up to Scotland on business.
Plough was very comfortable and welcoming. Excellent food from well varied menu. Enjoyed exploring villages. Our dog was also made welcome.
Bit of noise as our room was above the bar.
The area is a beautiful place to visit, enhanced by the warm welcome, lovely rooms, delicious food and helpful friendly staff at The Plough. I will definitely stay again.
Very, very good evening meals....
No bath towel on the first night.
Building and furnishings, cooking - excellent fish pie! and friendly staff. The breakfast was also very good and filling. More tea and coffee than we could drink and thoughtfully kept warm over a candle. Service was good and we were made to feel welcome in the restaurant and the bar.
You got the address wrong - it is in Town Yetholm not Kirk Yetholm. They are less than a mile apart and we soon rectified the mistake. There was nothing really to dislike about this place. It is definitely out of the way but that is just what we wanted. It closed down soon after 9.30 pm
Friendly staff and great food. Big television in the bedroom!
General cleanliness, lots of dead flies and cobwebs around bedroom and bathroom windows.
Staff were all very nice, friendly and helpful Food was quite good Good shower Attractive bathroom
Tea tray so far from socket kettle had to be boiled on floor TV so low could only be seen from 1 side of the bed Appalling coffee after evening meal 1 Bedside light only – huge minus for us
Owner & staff so friendly and helpful, dogs welcomed just a brilliant atmosphere.
Genuinely cant think of anything I didn't like.
Quiet and off the beaten track a gem of a place. Lovely clean rooms, fabulous food, made to feel very welcome. Huge breakfast freshly cooked with lots of choice. Very dog friendly.
Bar was busy and noisy when we arrived so not sure at first but everything was just fine.
Friendly welcome and good food
The views and the remoteness. The drive to get to it was the highlight of everything ive ever seen in England. Huge room and bathroom with a bath. Bed was super comfortable. Wish we had more time to spend there.
Good, homemade food Staff were excellent and a happy team Friendly relaxed atmosphere Bent over backwards to accommodate us
Need to check postcode listed as took us to somewhere completely random!
Very homely, made to feel very welcome. Meals superb.
A bit dated.
loved the food and the staff were really friendly. Enjoyed our stay and will be back.
We enjoyed the friendly welcome, and several good meals. The rooms were spacious and attractive. The location is amazing so near to the coast by car but inland here the countryside is beautiful. Lovely twin villages to walk about.
Old country inn.The food was plentiful and tasty. We had plenty of space. It was right on our route which was why we chose it. The young staff welcomed us warmly. The beds were clean and comfy.
Little moan -No hangers , not even a peg on the back of the door. Hotel has been taken over recently and there is unfinished work. Slightly shabby and doubles as village local so don't expect posh. Paint the front door it would give a much better impression!
..after walking all day on St Cuthbert's Way, it was a relief to find a lovely pub with comfortable room upstairs. Friendly service, wifi, real ale, good food. Nice people!
I was walking the St Cuthberts Way and stayed one night. extremely friendly staff and this was complemented by fantastic food and wine. locals in the pub very friendly as well. bedroom was large, comfortable. would definitely stay again.
Location. Friendliness. Beer. Food.
