On arrival they had lost my booking so was charged again for another room, with the prospect of hunting down a refund already looking unlikely. The first room I was given had dodgy electrics, second already had somebody in it (!), third room smelled and a previous occupant had been making noodles in the kettle rendering it useless. No replacement kettle or free coffee at the bar offered. There was also a pile of dirty laundry at the door which was not removed for the entire stay. Walls are paper thin so could here a prostitute berating her customer's performance in an adjacent room. When I went to the restaurant for dinner I was told that they had "run out of food" - not just one or two items, but everything. In the morning, another breakfaster pointed at my toast and asked the waitress to bring him some, and so she proceeded to try and give him my breakfast! Was not offered any discounts for the three unsatisfactory rooms or non existing dinner, however this place, dire as it is, is still better than the North Stafford Hotel. If you have business in Stoke On Trent I would seriously recommend suicide as a preferred option. The Plough Motel is as depressing and uninspiring as the rest of Stoke. Do yourself a favour, drive on.

This motel has good, clean, warm, accomadation with excellent t v facilities. The staff are very friendly, they noticed my husband was disabled and offered us a downstairs apartment, which had four beds but charged us no extra. The food in the resturant was also very good, with an excellent breakfast. There was plenty of safe parking facilities . Nothing to complain about.

The Price, The Service, The Co-Operation, The Room. There should be plastic cups in the bathroom and the kettle in the room should not have limestones in it or they should heave limestone filters.

The location is good - near the a500/a50 and m6. The car park was at the back outside the rooms which made it easy for luggage and security. The staff were very nice. The room was a bit out of date and in need of some refurbishment, but I believe this is in progress.

The location and the outside view of motel. It was not very clean to prove this the house keeping missed the tip that the previous person (I hope) left, my son was happy. We stayed for 2 nights and didn't get any new coffee/tea items nor toilet roll, it was a bit uncomfortable walking into a busy bar to ask for this stuff. Explained all this to manager and got a sorry he took everything down and said they will deal with it as 300 words would not cover the list I spoke to him about from broken bathroom handles to burnt lampshades and cobwebs. All they need it to bring the cleaning standard up to normal and a bit of maintenance and this hotel would be fine. I am by far a snob but really didn't enjoy my stay especially when I have to clean the bathroom before I allowed my children to use it. I know the new manager will turn this around just a shame he was not there ages before we went.

Acomadation ok. But we ate in the restraunt on monday night. We orderd .2 mixed grills and one gammon. This cost £30. Although the gammon was edable the mixed grills was the worst food I have ever tasted. Everything apart from the chips and peas was well over cooked and looked like it had been reheated . Would never eat there again.

the room was spacious the bed was very uncomfortable, bed springs stabbing you in the back, hairs in the bed and bathroom, not to mention the facial hairs all around the edge of the bath where somebody had had a shave.i felt that it had not been cleaned to a good enough standard.i felt though that i coudnt complain while we were there due to the very reasonable price we had paid.

The Motel location was ok for where we wanted to get to. The Motel was run down and the staff were friendly but not helpfull and the chef looked dirty so did not stay and have breakfast at the motel even thought it was included in the price. The plumbing in the bathroom I was in was so old it made horrific noise all night so we did not sleep and the motel staff did nothing about it. Really bad motel do not recomend at all.

Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Serviceable room, if a little dated. Room was warm and welcoming. Staff were happy with me bringing in own food, and helped with plate and cutlery. Loved that the chef came in early when he knew that I needed to depart early, and offered a light breakfast. Very good value for money. Shame that tv was not working in the room - this needs updating. Also bathroom was rather dated.
