Friendly welcome, good breakfast, restaurant on roof had great views, excellent location- very central.
Hotel corridors and decor could do with updating . Car park useful but a bit tight if driving a large car!
Welcoming, helpful staff. Clean, standard room. Good breakfast.
Paying £3 a day parking. Only a few rooms with "the view"
Clean, quiet, warm, fabulous beds and bedding. All home comforts, great facilities in hotel itself, lots of attention to detail with soft and hard pillows, light switches by bed etc. Friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to be helpful and answer questions about Plymouth as well as the hotel facilities.
Extractor vent in bathroom, made it a bit chilly in the bathroom (mid winter time) but no doubt a compulsory item under building regulations as it comes on with the light.
pool and sauna.
paid wifi . other hotels do it for free.
Everything was great, view from penthouse bar is amazing, would stay again.
Car park a bit tight for space.
Clean and comfortable bedroom, friendly staff .
Breakfast not included in the price .
When I arrived my booking wasn't correct. The shower didn't work. The dinning room was closed due to a power failure but all the lights lifts etc were working The bed was in need of replacing
The staff were excellent apart from those "in charge" of the 9th floor restaurant. The facilities are good as I have come to expect from this group. The room was comfortable and the cleaning staff was excellent. The gentleman who took our booking for a table near the window on New Years Eve.
The gentleman who met us for dinner on New Years Eve, met us with an offhand "HIYA" and proceeded to look, in vain for our booking. We decided to look elsewhere for dinner and fortunately, found a very nice restaurant in town. Further meals were taken away from the hotel.
Huge lovely room with outstanding views us what I asked for, very friendly staff, excellent leisure facilities thoroughly enjoyed our swim and sauna, breakfast is amazing loads to choose from also with that outstanding view. Thank you to all for a lovely stay we shall be returning :)
That we had to leave :(
Great view over Plymouth Sound. Big comfy bed. Good TV with lots of channels. Lots of goodies in room ,
Bit dissappointed with bathroom - small compared to room. Heating controls difficult had to use heater provided.
Location and Penthouse Lounge
Good location been there a few times over a few years all good
Some areas are in need of painting looking a bit tired
Hotel was lovely and the staff very helpful
Penthouse bar floor was very dirty The Wall tiles in the bathroom Was a bit dirty
Location and staff were superb and generally the hotel represented good value for money.
All a bit tired especially in the rooms where decor and furniture had clearly seen better days
swimming pool rooms were big nice bar
breakfast was good and the whole stay was enjoyable value for money.
The under ground car park is not easy wit a Renault Espace. Also on the fist morning I was not in formed that I needed to get a token from the reception. This made me late for a meeting and I had to repark the car.
Hotel is warm and comfortable. The food over Christmas was exellent . The location is convenient for walks on the hoe and seafront and to the city centre shops.
really nice rooms
The location was great for the Pavillions ,the pool and breakfast were both very good.
The room was the grubbiest, dirtiest Holiday Inn we have ever stayed in, we kept our shoes on because the carpet was so dirty and I don't think anyone cleaned the bathroom, should have asked for a different room but after a long drive we only wanted to sleep there.
Convenient location. Comfortable room.
Underground car park is hideously tight and claustrophobic.
Proximity to venue and town and great views of Sound.
Everything was fantastic and we will be returning. Staff were very polite and made us very welcome. A gentleman actually spoke to us and asked how we were when walking to our room! Fantastic.
The breakfast finished at 9.30 which we felt was too early we thought it was 10.30 so we actually missed breakfast!!
Lack of iron in the room
the view from, and ambience, of the penthouse restaurant and bar.
The bed was a bit economical (relative to the headboard and sideboards). The lifts were a bit temperamental. (Neither particularly detracted from the stay - just observations)
Location. Breakfast in the penthouse with spectacular views Leisure facilities Lovely rooms
Pay for the car park Pay for the wifi but I had an IHG card and the reception were very helpful No jacuzzi Difficult car park
