Holiday Inn Plymouth is located about 100mts away from a side-spur of the pedestrian area of Plymouth central area, so leave the car in the under-ground car-park (reasonable price for that), put on your comfortable walking foot-wear & walk around the whole area. Tina & I also turned left out of reception & went in the direction of 'The Hoe' which then lead's you on into the older part of the city. Keep the sea to your right and end-up in The Marina with all the older shop's to walk around. Tina & I also made full use of the swimming pool & health spa, We both needed it after spending two day's walking around and leaving the car in the car-park. Thank You Holiday Inn Plymouth, will re-turn soon. Regards Tina & Mark. Nothing really 'Wrong' with the Hotel, We did find that the milk for your cerial's some-times taisted 'Funny', as if it was on the turn !!!.

We found the hotel to be shabby old and in need of refurbishment!! The windows in the rooms dont open properly, the furniture was old and stained, the tea making facs where poor, the tv only worked if you banged it the remote didnt work al together with the constant drone from the air con the whole thing was very poor we will not be comming back until a refurb has taken place, dont pay for the breakfast its cold and over priced, the car park is a joke unless you drive a mini!! Once parked in a jag you cant open the doors and they charge £3.00 per day!!!

Location was superb. Walking distance to everything we needed. Rooms were a bit dated and in need of redecoration. Bathroom was small. The bath was not big enough to have a bath. We were expecting the hotel to be of a higher standard.

Not a lot - staff were friendly that's it. Rooms tired, decor in rest of hotel tired, poorly equiped for a business traveller - no water, fridge, safe, bathrooms bleak. Very poor value for money.

Great location close to Barbican, shops,Hoe Booked executive room with view over Cornwall but vista hard to see due to filthy windows.Car park very tight with large car.I Am a smoker and this hotel does not have any facilities no smoking rooms and you have to go on the street, we are classed as second class citizens and you certainly felt like it here. Breakfast ok but fried eggs hard each day even when just cooked.

Good situation and easy to find. Good parking. Very warm and friendly staff from front desk, to Bar, to restaurant. Food, especially the evening meals, was first class and breakfast could not have had a better choice of excellent and fresh food. Our room was clean and comfortable. My only minor complaint, was the absence in the room, of a socket high enough off the floor to charge my mobile 'phone! Many thanks to you all.

The staff were extremely accomodating when I requested a late check-out, giving me till 14:00! It made all the difference to my day. Room was nice, room-service was tasty, all the staff we encountered (though that wasn't many, which in itself was nice; it felt very private) were extremely pleasant.

A very friendly welcome from the reception staff. The same staff were equally friendly and efficient when we checked out. The fact that the hotel had its own secure parking was good, although it was quite tight for manoeuvring into a space. The swimming pool was an added bonus which we enjoyed and the changing rooms were spacious and well equipped (and clean.) We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food/service in the restaurant. This is only a very small point but when we went to use the pool, the staff were a little indifferent; they could have pointed out where the changing rooms were instead of letting us wander around the reception area looking for the way in! The fact that they knew we were guests at the hotel should have made them realise that we probably hadn't been there before.
