Very friendly staff. Nice big room with twin doubles. Good breakfast. Dislike - expensive wi-fi. Also using Swisscom as a provider meant that some betting sites I use were being blocked. Underground car very small - do not use if you have a big car!

What did we like? The views from the room windows, the comfort of the beds, the piping hot shower! The staff were most helpful and pleasant and the breakfast, though buffet style, was very, very good. I have no hesitation in recommending the Holiday Inn. Oh yes, its remarkably quiet for a city centre Inn.

Very pleasant reception staff, lovely views and walks around historic harbour. Spacious room. Close to shopping. Appreciated very much the opportunity of staying in our room longer (catching the ferry late). Parking. Hotel needs updating. Heating inadequate in room, bad lighting in bathroom and penthouse restaurant could be so much more exclusive with such great views.

We were affected by the users of the four rooms (one party) above us making unreasonable and excess noise over two nights. We complained to staff whom initially took little notice of our complaint. When they finally took notice they offered to move us. We declined this as we were not the perpetrators of the disturbance but the victims and did not wish to repack, move and then unpack again. It would have been more reasonable if the perpetrators were moved to an area of the hotel where their noise making did not disturb others. I ended up complaining directly to the people using the rooms upstairs from us who eventually moderated the nise. This absolutrely spoiled our Christmas at the Holiday Inn Plymouth.

Hotel was very close to town and easy to walk to. Was impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. Having stayed in Plymouth previously in other hotels this is definately the best in terms of quality. Will definately return.

The staff were extremely accomodating when I requested a late check-out, giving me till 14:00! It made all the difference to my day. Room was nice, room-service was tasty, all the staff we encountered (though that wasn't many, which in itself was nice; it felt very private) were extremely pleasant.

A very friendly welcome from the reception staff. The same staff were equally friendly and efficient when we checked out. The fact that the hotel had its own secure parking was good, although it was quite tight for manoeuvring into a space. The swimming pool was an added bonus which we enjoyed and the changing rooms were spacious and well equipped (and clean.) We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food/service in the restaurant. This is only a very small point but when we went to use the pool, the staff were a little indifferent; they could have pointed out where the changing rooms were instead of letting us wander around the reception area looking for the way in! The fact that they knew we were guests at the hotel should have made them realise that we probably hadn't been there before.

The restaurent was fine and all staff were very polite and helpful. We completed the form left in the room and as you will see some of the responses were far from complementary. They mainly centered around the bathroom, it being poorly cleaned on our arrival, as highlighted and that wall fixtures were in some cases nearly falling off or loose. This does not in my mind constitute a '4 star hotel'. I would appreciate a response.

It's comfortable and predictable. The quality of the breakfasts are poor, potentially good ingredients, they just aren't treated, the plates were all cold, the fried eggs were hard and the fresh ones from the kitchen were even harder and no one noticed, it could be good if someone cared.

The Holiday Inn is ideally situated in close proximity for either the shops or more leisurely activity. It was reasonably priced and very good standard.

Hotel is clean, rooms are light and spacious. The hotel is only a few mins walk from the shops. The car parking is reasonable at only £6 for 2 days but the car park is very tight. We have a Mazda 6 and it was tight to get round.
