Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Beds were comfortable. Excekllent location. Initially our room smelt of cigarettes and was a bit run down and musty. Staff moved us to another room, with no fuss and very efficiently. The room was quite noisy at night as it was on a busy street. No parking. |

Staff were very good and helpful. Food was good Lifts were functional, failed to work once, left hand lift was very noisy, I think due to being next to the air conditioning system. Some items in the room (314) could do with some TLC, or a handyperson with a screwdriver to tighten things up. |

The friendly staff, and the big bed. Noise was a big problem It needs double glazing, and quiter closing doors. Every time someone went in the room next door it sounded like they were coming into our room. Description fails to mention that is very close to lap dancing club and pole dancing club and based on what we saw, near to red light area. Room appeared unfinished too. |

Great location, we had an excellent view of the castle. The staff were friendly and always willing to help with any queries we had. The rooms were clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. Breakfast was excellent and the cocktail bar/lounge was great. We had a great stay :) |

Great location, within easy walking distance of Edinburgh Castle. The hotel was also in a quiet area, which helped reduce the sense of hustle and bustle that is part of the city experience. |

Its location in the city, so close to the castle and the greenmarket. The facilities were very good and I found it relaxing. The staff could improve in relation to customer care, especially in the restuarant and the bar. |

its location, hard to initial find as it actually signed The Point hotel, other wise it very central and you have views of the castle and only mins walk form the lively grass market pubs only small dislike, i feel the lighting on the communial areas on the floors were quite dark and grim looking. |

The personnel at the reception were extremely friendly and helpful. I also liked the Max Ehrmann poem in the reception. Also: good beds, good bathroom. |

Our room, but it was not a standard one. it was a round room located at the very end of of the corridor. I understand that there were only three rooms like this in the hotel. The windows are very dirty. They never have been washed since it's opening. |

Location was great We waited over an hour to check into our room. The front desk said it was because they were getting a quite room ready for us but the room was on a busy street. |

- In the City Center, walk distance from main attractions of the city (Museum of Scotland, Castle, Camera Obscura, Whisky Museum, Dungeon, Scott`s Monument and much much more), - with nice view for Edinburgh Castle. I prefer to have fridge in my room but it wasn`t too annoying ;) |

very friendly clean room, and very central to princes st. would go back in the near future. we did not like the noise from the road, they could up grade the windows and could put net curtains up to as our room was at the front of the hotel on the 1st floor and people did look up so we had to keep the main curtains closed all the time. |

The location is excellent so close to the castle and the centre of everything. The room I stayed in on the 4th floor the view was lovely, so nice to have this in a city hotel. The food was good value and good quality. The hotel was very modern in design and looks but I wouldn't be too gone on the colour scheme but that's only personal preferance really. Most of the staff I found very helpful and friendly but on the 2nd evening we went down for dinner, we hadn't booked in time but it wasn't busy at all and it took a little persuading to get served. Also It really could have done with a power shower. |

The staff were excellent - it was my son's wedding and we could not have asked for better friendliness, attention to detail, warmth Could have been a wee bit disable friendly - 80 year old mother who got a wee bit tired with up and down the corridors and stairways |
