Cleanliness of the room was appalling. Facilities were 3rd world, the shower broken and sink leaked. Bath water was a muddy brown. Paid for 3 nights and stayed for 1. |

reception staff were friendly Water from taps was very brown and certainly not drinkable, rooms very stark as were hallways and corridors, generally hotel looked scruffy, very expensive for what you got. Rooms were also inconsistent in temperture. Booked a twin room and got a double, rooms were very narrow and long. |

Room was modern and had a great view of the castle. Reception staff were very helpful and cheerful. Bar staff also very welcoming and food was good. Bed was very comfortable. Quite noisy at night but only because room was facing on to main street across from pub. Room was quite dark and could have benefitted from extra lighting. Our room was cool because we could open the window but my friends room was very hot as no air conditioning and they could not open their window. |

No surprises The hotel is asceptic and has a strange factory or prison feeling about it, it could of course be design and I might a philistine. The room was spacious and clean but the bathroom degraded and poorly appointed. |

I thought the hotel was in an excellent location the hotel itself was really nice I was upgraded to a room with a castle view and the staff were very friendly and helpful! The room was huge and the bed was so comfortable I had trouble getting out of it the next day! The shower was a wee bit dodgy and leaked all over the bathroom apart from that nothing! |

Excellent location and kind staff at the reception. The rooms were dirty to compare. The hotel possibly might need some interior updating especially in the hallways but firstly a deep clean of rooms would be just as useful. |

Good location - walk into city Shabby, old, tired. No tea / coffee in rooms. Bad smell from old carpet on landings. Not what it used to be. |

Close to city centre Decor was shabby, broken glass panels in wall. Landing and corridors had horrible smell - possibly the old carpet. Old and tired - in definite need of a spruce-up. Disappointed - I think it used to be good. |
