Fantastic self contained house. Very well appointed & all little things needed. Sadly wi-fi didn’t work & staff didn’t know why. Also the wood shutters creek in night if window open. Other than that a superb excellent stay with the most lovely helpful & kind staff. Would definitely come back! Food was excellent for the evening meal.

This is an outstanding property. The accomodation is excellent and has been decorated and designed to a very high standard. The owners and staff evidently care about what they are offering and have added many little extra touches such as a free mini bar and free ice cream in their Hive restaurant to add to the enjoyment of the stay. Excellent breakfast in the Hive restaurant. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed.

We stayed at the Mootel after my son's wedding at the Barn. We had a large family room with double bed and 2 bunk beds. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was for my husband and myself and two grandsons. It had everything we needed, and my grandson loved seeing the geese outside in the morning.

It was close to the harbour, restaurants and main street. We had a rapid response to the problem that had arisen with the central heating and everything was sorted out quickly.

Aberaeron is a gorgeous Georgian seaside town in West Wales.
Aberaeron is a gorgeous Georgian seaside town in West Wales. It has great places to eat and great little shops to wander around. Two fabulous cafes for great coffee and food are Naturally Scrumptious and McCowans. Aberaeron has a fantastic book shop called 'Gwisgo' that sells both new and used books together with a wonderful selection of greeting cards. The owners are very knowledgeable and friendly and will help you pick out the perfect book for your reading needs! If you are knitter - Rosemary's Wool Shop is a great place to pick up a yarn project and get some expert advice and tips on any fiber arts related question.
Aberaeron is on the Wales Coastal path and is a great place to start, finish or stop off for food on one's journey along the coastline of Wales.

I've loved Aberaeron since a child and I still love the mix of the old traditional colourful buildings and (now) the 21st Century bars & dining.
A great place if you like boats and harbours, with the most amazing views!
The Ceredigion Coastal Path goes through Aberaeron and there are some stunning views on the path in the direction of New Quay.
A good place to chill out with a good view, and maybe a good book. Lots of benches. Quiet. There is also a river walk (with benches).
The Ice Cream at 'The Hive' is the best I've ever tasted!
Amazing sunsets over the sea (in good weather).
Maybe not the place for young people wanting a lot of night life, but perfect for us not so young who want to relax.

Lovely location, Comfortable beds, Welcoming host. The breakfast is amazing! Quality foods used, homemade bread , excellent selection of cereals , fruit, yoghurts, and very good cooked menu selection, and the homemade granola was fabulous! Decent coffee too !
My self and husband have falling in love with Aberaeron so pretty and the Harbour Master. The staff are so friendly and Helpful, it is nice to see Welsh language promoted. The rooms are very clean and comfortable (however I would suggest they change their pillows to one soft to one firm as I swear the two soft ones wrapped round my head trying to kill me lol) We ate in the restaurant both nights we both thought it was exceptional credit to chef and his team. We will definitely be making plans for another visit.
Dave and Kerry were the perfect combination of sweet and professional. They have a quiet and clean B&B just outside the quaint seaside town of Aberaeron and really are the quintessential Mom and Pop shop. Kerry makes a splendid breakfast in the morning and also
called around town to make dinner reservations for me. And Dave drove us to dinner and back just so I didn’t have to drive myself. It was quite a perfect place to stay.
It was perfect! We stayed in the beautifully presented cottage. The cottage has 3 bedrooms (2 with large ensuites). It had everything, from very comfortable beds, board games, parking space to luxurious bathroom accessories. The cottage was located next to the harbour and had a lovely view overlooking the harbour. Luckily, we had the weather and time to relax by sitting outside the cottage to appreciate those views.
Lovely modern communal areas, but at the same time a lovely quirky old building, and one of Aberaeron's longest standing hotels (according to the Aberaeron Tourist Guide).
Nice location on Alban Square - away from the noisy bars on the harbour, but only a couple of minures to get to any part of Aberaeron. Genuine Italian restaurant.
Car park with easy access to hotel.
Staff at reception were polite and helpful. The new owner was very friendly and we enjoyed talking to him about his developmental plans for the hotel. Breakfast was exactly what we wanted served in a room close to the bedroom area. If the new owners’ plans are fulfilled the Castle Hotel will be an asset to the community, town and visitors to Aberaeron.

100% recommend! A great house, very comfortable, clean, comfy beds and plenty of space to relax! The VIEW IS OUTSTANDING from every room! Walkable to main st Aberaeron for shopping, restaurants and the water front!
Location, cleanliness, staff service was superb. My room although a single was lovely and had a beautiful view of the harbour. Staff were attentive and friendly and the food was 5 star. I cannot wait to go back.
Whilst a short walk from Aberaeron centre the quality of the accommodation, attention to detail and the unobtrusive attention of our hosts made the short walk worthwhile. The breakfasts were exceptionally good.
Amazing location with stunning views over the pretty harbour and close to restaurants and shops. Accommodation was clean, stylish and comfortable with everything you need for a short stay in Aberaeron.
Beautiful B&B, exceptionally clean, quality plentiful breakfasts, good parking, lovely location just a short walk into Aberaeron, would certainly recommend to anyone who is thinking of staying here.
Lovely spot with a gorgeous view of the sea. Great location near Aberaeron, which is such a cute little town! Best shower we had in Wales! Also wonderful wifi & TV set up!
I live in Aberaeron and booked this for a friend who was visiting. He has travelled all over the world and thought it was 'the best B&B I've ever stayed in'.
