Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, food was excellent and well priced, location excellent.
Lack of parking on site
Very warm welcome and excellent food couldn't fault the staff or the service. Only thing I would ask is the heating in the rooms to be on a little longer. Value for money and good location.
Welcome, cleanliness, comfy bed, very generous breakfast and a great pub to while away the hours over a pint
Veggie breakfast looked poor in comparison to meat version which was excellent - maybe offer two eggs and two veggie sausages to replace a sausage, two rashers of bacon and black pudding - a minor point
Friendly staff. Good food. Bed was very comfortable. Will go back.
Room looked tired
Location. Bed. Village.
Was cold heating didn't seemto be working well in our bedroom.
The Bar staff seemed ok
The room for the shower was too small The breakfast wasnt very nice, the plates were hotter than the food.
The bridge across the road is lovely
No parking - either pay and display over the river or on main road 100m up the road Room cold (even with radiator full on) and not as booked. Limited bar meals only and won't serve at all if not enough people around. Wi-fi intermittent
It was a lovely pub/b+b would definitely stay again, eve meal was yummy and breakfast just as nice, staff very welcoming.
Welcome was excellent. The menu was interesting, and the bar was pleasant. The location was perfect. The room was clean.
The bed was uncomfortable, and the shower was no more than a trickle. The room was at the rear and over the kitchen so the sound of the kitchen vent from early on Sunday wasn't great. The breakfast sausage wasn't cooked. The room overlooked a beer garden, so some noise was expected. What wasn't was a highlevel of volume and swearing for the best part of 2 1/2 hours. Although at 11pm we complained, the group moved away themselves, but only returned later after a fight, and continued to disrupt. The hotel did apologise and say that that was the first evening the police had been called. But that was the first time I had stayed at the hotel. And the last. Overall, it had so much potential, it was good value. But not sure it's worth the risk again
- Very Clean - Very helpful staff - Good size - Great Location
Pont y Pair Inn was an excellent choice for our stay and the food delicious - enjoyed the location and found everyone so very friendly, The purpose of our trip was to visit Zipworld which was just a 20 min drive away. We will definitely return and make this Inn our choice so that we can see more of this beautiful location :-)
Breakfast and bed was comfy!!
Staff, food, location
Small room and the microscopic TV placed 8ft up in a corner.
Bedroom was warm a good size with nice comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent value and good quality. The breakfast was great and made with good quality ingredients although only served 8am until am so no lay in.
Food excellant and staff makes you feel at home also good with peys
The staff are so friendly, efficient and warm. The hotel is soo pet friendly, the choice of drinks are excellent, the food is lovely too. The bed was really comfortable and the breakfast was yummy.
We had to leave :-(
Welcoming staff and comfortable inn.We arrived at about 21.40 and there were no restaurants open for a meal in the town but we were offered a very appreciated round of sandwiches to eat whilst enjoying our beers!
When we were shown our room it was explained that there had been a leak from the radiator. There was an awful smell of damp but we felt it was too late to ask for another room
Friendly staff, superb breakfast, great ambience in the pub area - a highly recommended location.
tiny bathroom and fluctuating heat levels in the room
Stayed 1 night in a double en suite room (no.11) It was clean and the bed was comfy, the staff here are really friendly and the breakfast is amazing! Found out during our stay that dogs are welcome here and if we do go back to stay we will be bringing ours!
The wifi works fine downstairs but in the rooms not so much! (I only mention this as for some people this might be an important requirement.)
Nice staff Good location Pub on ground floor with good food
Old and smelly rooms Bad wifi in rooms
Location Location Location Staff was amazing, food was great - and the prices were GREAT!!
It was an older property. There are three parking spots available at the location - but you have to reserve them in advance.
toilet an heating
The pub environment suited us, very relaxed, with great menu. as above, the staff were friendly and helpful, room was pretty standard but bed was great!
The half moon seating being occupied by 2 people when could easily have fitted 4.When tables for eating are at a premium this seemed very selfish. Not much the new owners can do, but over time, perhaps the seating could be changed.
Well kept ales, home cooked fresh food, good breakfast, fresh decor in bar area, friendly staff
Bedrooms are a bit tired but comfortable, carpeted bathrooms, heating timed so room was at times cold, cooked breakfast good but buffet style of juices, fruits and cereals would make it excellent, poor selection of vegetarian options on menu - which meant we ate out two of the three nights, would have stayed otherwise
I came to stay at pony y pair with my partner and our dog. They made a great fuss of her and made us feel very welcome.
