Pontlands Park Hotel  

The superior double room we had was luxurious and spacious , it was excellent. We have stayed in some lovely hotels around the world and we were extremely impressed. Better than some 5 star hotels .

The room we had was absolutely lovely. Very relaxing stay.

Friendly staff, beautiful building well kept and very clean. Food lovely.

The room service was prompt, the quality of the food was to a very high standard and the atmosphere of the hotel/room we stayed in was superb throughout. A perfect stay.

Absolutely nothing.

Was upgraded on arrival to a very spacious room. Decor in rooms was very nice and comfortable, seemed as if they had been refurbished recently. Staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in lovely grounds.

I didnt like the face that a 'discretionary gratuity' was applied to my bar bills, I did not notice anything when signing the bar receipts but did not read every detail. I certainly do not expect 10% to be added without my approval. Had I not been in a hurry to check out and go (there was a queue) I would have challanged this.

Large rooms, friendly staff, possibility of opening windows no noisy air conditioning. Tea and coffee in room. Quality shampoo provided in bathroom.

Poor quality full English breakfast. Greasy, fatty pork belly replaced bacon, undercooked sausage and tea made with warm instead of boiling water. Sound proofing between rooms is poor.

The hotel was excellent as a buisiness traveller food was good value and room was excellent

Work started before 9am(hammering) Sundays buffet breakfast was inferior to the fresh cooked breakfast.Coffee/tea pots need warming so that drinks are very hot.

Relaxing stay with friendly, efficient and attentive staff.

Noisy fan in bathroom

Our room was upgraded to a suite and we didn't even ask it was just done for us. Also we were allowed a late checkout as the staff went out their way to see what was happening the next day in order to accommodate this.

Everything, room was clean and comfortable, staff were very helpful. It was an ideal getaway.

Excellent Service; Great surroundings; good location for contract

Staff very friendly,Really nice large modern room and bathroom. Stayed there because we were at a Christmas party also being held at the hotel. Service was excellent, Christmas party and entertainment brilliant. Would defininately recommend.

very well trained and professional staff. as a business person using hotels weekly I can safely say this is the most consistent re staff as in all were excellent from cleaning to reception

better continental breakfast badly needed plus hotel rooms far too hot despite turning off all rads.

Nice spacious room and nice bathroom.

Thought breakfast was overpriced. Many hotels include a hot breakfast. We also were not advised there would be an extra charge for the hot breakfast.

Breakfast time could be longer - e.g. until 10:00 at least - very rushed if on a leisure trip

Friendly staff, lovely location, comfortable beds and large rooms, luxurious feel.

The hotel room was very large with a super comfortable bed. We enjoyed using the spa facilites and my son really enjoyed the pool.

The only negative was I found our room cold as the heating came on at 5.30pm so was cold when we returned from our swim but they do provide a fan heater which did help warm the room.

The hotel far exceeded my expectations. I booked at the last minute as we were attending a function nearby. From the moment we arrived, the staff were very welcoming and attentive. Our room had recently been refurbished to a very high standard and was very well equipped with almost everything you could need. The lounge area was very comfortable and the bar and food menus were very good. The leisure centre was very welcoming and the facilities were excellent. Overall, I think this hotel offers excellent value for money and I would say that the service and attention to detail was much higher than I have experienced at other hotels with a higher star rating.

Only minor disappointment was that there wasn't a mini bar in the room.
